MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,021 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,021 m of the 2,783 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 620 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Trondheim Airport, Værnes, taking approximately 7 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 27, with a takeoff distance of 1,312 meters, which accounted for 56% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 152 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 13°C temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots at 239 degrees. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 3 knots. The enroute climb started approximately 1 mile northwest of Hell, Trondelag, Norway, where the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,033 feet above sea level to 39,230 feet above sea level, an increase of 38,197 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 116 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 18 miles north of Innbygda, Innlandet, Norway, and lasted for 42 minutes, covering a distance of 332 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 5 miles southeast of Vickleby, Kalmar, Sweden, where it descended from 39,245 feet above sea level to 16,300 feet above sea level, a decrease of 22,945 feet in 13 minutes, covering a distance of 90 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise, this time starting 15 miles south of the ZM04 Baltic Sea Moving Carrier - CVN76, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, and lasting for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles. The enroute descent began 15 miles northwest of Wierzchucino, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, where the aircraft descended from 16,231 feet above sea level to 2,050 feet above sea level, a decrease of 14,181 feet in 9 minutes, covering a distance of 41 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 11 at Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 112.0 degrees at 3 nautical miles and 1,579 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 11, which had a length of 2,783 meters. The threshold height was above the target, while the threshold speed was well above the target at 142 knots.
The touchdown point was 206 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 132 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -201 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 9°C temperature and a wind speed of 6 knots at 50 degrees. The crosswind was 6 knots, while the headwind was 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,942 meters, which accounted for 70% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.4 meters from the centerline. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took approximately 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 596 nautical miles, taking 99 minutes, and the aircraft used 3,550 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 aircraft successfully landed at EPGD Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, with a final approach score of 89.0%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the west, heading 112.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,579 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was conducted on runway 11, which has a length of 2,783 meters.
The threshold height at 65 feet agl was above the target, indicating that the aircraft was slightly higher than desired when reaching the runway threshold. However, the threshold speed was well above the target at 142 knots, suggesting that the aircraft was descending at a relatively high rate. This could be a result of the aircraft's approach configuration or the pilot's decision to descend more aggressively.
The touchdown point was 206 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively significant distance. The touchdown speed of 132 knots was a little fast, indicating that the aircraft may have been touching down with a bit too much energy. The touchdown rate of -201 feet per minute (fpm) was fair, suggesting that the aircraft was not experiencing excessive deceleration upon touchdown.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 9°C and a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 50°. The crosswind component was 6 knots, while the headwind component was 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,942 meters, which is 70% of the runway length. This suggests that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance after touchdown. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.4 meters from the centerline, indicating that the aircraft may have drifted off the centerline during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some areas for improvement, such as the threshold height, threshold speed, touchdown speed, and runway rollout alignment.
