MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,835 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,835 m of the 2,672 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 553 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight on the Boeing 737-800 began with a smooth taxi from the parking area to the runway at NTMD Nuku Hiva Airport. The taxiing process was quick, taking just 1 minute to cover less than 1 nm.
As the aircraft prepared for takeoff on runway 24, the departure roll was smooth, covering a distance of 1,009 m, which was 60% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 142 kn, with the local weather showing a temperature of 27 °C and a 5 kn wind coming from 53 °. There was a crosswind of 1 kn and a tailwind of 4 kn during takeoff.
The enroute climb began 1 mile southwest of the airport and took the aircraft from 1,191 ft asl to 38,030 ft asl, covering 204 nm in 34 minutes. Following the climb, the aircraft continued on a level cruise for 309 minutes, covering 1,945 nm.
The descent phase of the flight started 61 miles east of NFTE Kaufana Airport on Eua Island. The aircraft descended from 38,045 ft asl to 1,805 ft asl, covering 82 nm in 14 minutes.
The landing was executed smoothly on runway 11 at NFTF Fua'amotu International Airport. The runway length of 2,672 m allowed for a comfortable landing. The aircraft approached the runway with a height of 29 ft agl and a speed of 133 kn. The touchdown occurred 553 m from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 123 kn and a VSI of -122 ft/m. The local weather at the time of landing showed a temperature of 26 °C, with a 4 kn wind coming from 90 °. There was a crosswind of 2 kn and a headwind of 3 kn during landing. The total landing distance was 1,750 m, which was 66% of the runway length.
After a successful landing, the aircraft taxied back to the parking area in less than 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm. The total flight distance was 2,242 nm, taking a total of 368 minutes and using 13,861 kg of fuel. Overall, the flight was conducted efficiently and without any major incidents, showcasing the capabilities of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
