Improve the pattern downwind leg
The 45-degrees-behind-the-wing cue assumes you can turn your head and use peripheral vision. Downwind spacing cues like "put the wingtip halfway up the strut" assume a fixed, known eyepoint. Neither survives a monitor unmodified. If you fly on a fixed monitor, stop pretending and fly a numbers-based circuit.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: six checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
At the 300 ft gate: off the centreline.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,814 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 216 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Taxiing from the parking area to the runway at EGPE Inverness Airport took less than a minute, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then began its departure roll on runway 23, utilizing 593 meters, or 33% of the runway's length, to achieve liftoff at a speed of 84 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 16°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from a direction of 269°, resulting in a negligible crosswind and headwind component.
As the aircraft entered the left-hand traffic pattern from runway 23, it maintained a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in 24 seconds. The subsequent left-hand pattern crosswind leg was completed in 20 seconds, with the aircraft maintaining a steady heading. The pattern downwind turn, which involved a 45-degree angle to the runway, covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The downwind leg itself spanned 2 nautical miles in 48 seconds, before the aircraft began its base leg turn, which involved a 45-degree angle to the runway and a distance of 1 nautical mile. The base leg was completed in 21 seconds, followed by a final turn that covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in 26 seconds.
The aircraft then commenced its final approach to runway 23 from the north-east, maintaining a heading of 229.0° at an altitude of 137 feet above ground level. The landing was executed with good threshold height, threshold speed, and touchdown distance, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 72 knots and a distance of 215 meters, or 32% of the runway's length. The touchdown rate was fair at -208 feet per minute, but the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The total landing distance was 586 meters, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The aircraft used a total of 3 kilograms of fuel for the flight, which covered a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport from the north east was executed with precision, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 229.0° at 0 nm and 137 ft above ground level. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 81 kt, well within the acceptable range. As the aircraft descended onto the runway, it touched down at a speed of 72 kt, with a touchdown distance of 215 m, which was within the expected parameters.
The touchdown characteristics were good, with the aircraft maintaining a relatively low rate of descent, averaging -208 fpm. Notably, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating a high degree of control and precision during the final stages of the approach. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 15°C and a light wind of 1 kt from 270°, contributed to a stable and predictable environment for the landing.
The total landing distance of 586 m, which accounted for 32% of the runway length, was within the acceptable range. The runway rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating a high degree of control and precision during the post-landing phase. Overall, the landing was executed with a high degree of skill and precision, resulting in a score of 97.9%.
