MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,881 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,881 m of the 2,694 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 764 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at ENBR Bergen Airport, Flesland. This process took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 35, with a takeoff distance of 1,681 meters, which accounted for 69% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 158 knots.
As the aircraft climbed, it started at an altitude of 1,171 feet above sea level and reached a maximum altitude of 35,138 feet above sea level, an increase of 33,966 feet in 20 minutes. This climb covered a distance of 111 nautical miles. The enroute climb began 1 mile north of Flesland, in the Vestland region of Norway.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 6 miles southwest of Sirevag in the Rogaland Fylke region of Norway. This cruise phase lasted for 62 minutes and covered a distance of 463 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting overhead Pepingen in Flanders, Belgium. The descent from 36,064 feet above sea level to 27,089 feet above sea level, a decrease of 8,976 feet, took 5 minutes and covered 39 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 2 miles north of Trelon in the Hauts-de-France region of France. This cruise phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 12 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent again, starting 1 mile east of Landouzy-la-Ville in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The descent from 27,139 feet above sea level to 8,907 feet above sea level, a decrease of 18,232 feet, took 11 minutes and covered 57 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started overhead Fresnoy-la-Riviere in the Hauts-de-France region of France. This cruise phase lasted for 3 minutes and covered a distance of 16 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent once more, starting 1 mile southeast of Vineuil-Saint-Firmin in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The descent from 8,798 feet above sea level to 7,433 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,365 feet, took 2 minutes and covered 8 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started overhead Le Mesnil-en-Thelle in the Hauts-de-France region of France. This cruise phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 7 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent for the final time, starting overhead Vallangoujard in the Ile-de-France region of France. The descent from 7,431 feet above sea level to 1,627 feet above sea level, a decrease of 5,804 feet, took 7 minutes and covered 16 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 08R at LFPG Charles de Gaulle International Airport was made from the west, with a heading of 85.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,262 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 08R was successful, with a touchdown point 348 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was slightly above the target at 144 knots, and the touchdown rate was fair at -231 feet per minute.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 10 knots at 70 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was 10 knots. The total landing distance was 1,800 meters, which accounted
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at LFPG Charles de Gaulle International Airport, achieving a score of 94.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 85.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,262 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 08R, which has a length of 2,694 meters.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down slightly beyond the touchdown zone, at a distance of 348 meters. The threshold speed was slightly above the target speed, reaching 144 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 135 knots was a bit faster than desired. The touchdown rate of -231 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 24°C and a wind speed of 10 knots from a direction of 70°. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 10 knots, which did not significantly impact the landing. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during touchdown.
The total landing distance of 1,800 meters was 67% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the aircraft maintained a stable and aligned path during the rollout phase after touchdown. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and stability during the approach and touchdown phases.
