Improve the pattern base leg
Bank angle in the pattern is conventionally kept to 20 to 30 degrees, and the base-to-final turn is where that convention earns its keep. Stall speed rises with bank because the wing must produce more lift in a turn. Roughly 7 per cent higher at 30 degrees, about 19 per cent at 45, and around 40 per cent at 60. At 65 kt on base you don't have much margin to spend steepening a turn to salvage an overshoot.

One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply. These checks are the approach's score.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,866 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 459 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The TL3000 Sirius taxied to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport and commenced the departure roll. The aircraft achieved a take-off distance of 213 m, representing 11 % of the available runway, and lifted off at 57 kt. Ambient conditions were 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, a cross-wind component of 1 kt and a head-wind component of 2 kt.
A left-hand pattern entry was executed from runway 23, covering a distance of 1 nm in 21 seconds.
Subsequently, the aircraft performed a left-hand pattern crosswind segment from runway 23, traveling less than 1 nm in 17 seconds.
The downwind turn was flown with a 1 nm arc and an angle to the runway of 61.1° measured on a 45° reference.
During the downwind leg the aircraft covered 3 nm in 97 seconds.
The base-leg turn was a 2 nm maneuver with an angle to the runway of 26.8° on a 45° reference.
The base leg itself was less than 1 nm long and was completed in 26 seconds.
A final turn of less than 1 nm was flown in 27 seconds to align with the runway centreline.
On final approach to runway 23 the aircraft descended from 713 ft AGL to 27 ft AGL in 87 seconds and was recorded as having scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing was made on runway 23, whose total length is 1 866 m. The threshold speed was 53 kt, touchdown occurred 457 m down the runway at 35 kt, and the vertical speed at touchdown was minus 13 fpm. Runway-touchdown alignment was recorded as very good under the same weather conditions as departure.
The rollout alignment was perfect and the total landing distance measured 537 m, equivalent to 29 % of the runway length.
Overall, the flight covered a distance of 9 nm, lasted 6 minutes, and consumed 1 kg of fuel.
The TL3000 Sirius conducted the final approach to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness, descending from 713 ft agl to 27 ft agl in 87 seconds and receiving a score on the stabilisation gates.
At threshold the aircraft presented a good threshold height and a good threshold speed of 53 kt. The flare resulted in a good touchdown distance of 457 m, a good touchdown speed of 35 kt, a perfect touchdown rate of minus 13 fpm and a very good runway touchdown alignment.
Touchdown occurred at 457 m down the runway with a speed of 35 kt, a rate of minus 13 fpm and alignment described as very good.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 537 m, representing 29 % of the 1 866 m runway, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect.
With a score of 99.0 % the landing was excellent; a minor refinement would be to fine-tune the flare height to preserve the perfect touchdown rate while maintaining the already very good alignment.
