Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 1,000 ft gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,633 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,633 m of the 3,299 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 516 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 15 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft, FBW AIR TRANSAT C-GCKU, then departed from runway 22 at LSGG Geneva Cointrin International Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,845 meters, which accounted for 52% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 167 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 114 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it began its enroute climb from 2,462 feet above sea level to 35,163 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,701 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 63 nautical miles. The climb started overhead Vernier, in the Geneve region of Switzerland. The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, which lasted 58 minutes and covered a distance of 447 nautical miles, starting 2 miles northwest of Graben, in the Canton de Berne, Switzerland.
The enroute descent phase began 1 mile southwest of Metelsdorf, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, and lasted 17 minutes, covering a distance of 109 nautical miles. The aircraft descended from 35,239 feet above sea level to 7,492 feet above sea level, a decrease of 27,747 feet. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted 2 minutes and covered a distance of 6 nautical miles, starting 5 miles north of Skanoer med Falsterbo, in Skane County, Sweden.
The enroute descent phase began 3 miles northwest of Bunkeflostrand, in Skane County, Sweden, and lasted 5 minutes, covering a distance of 12 nautical miles. The aircraft descended from 7,291 feet above sea level to 2,757 feet above sea level, a decrease of 4,534 feet. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted 8 minutes and covered a distance of 25 nautical miles, starting 3 miles northwest of Barsebaeckshamn, in Skane County, Sweden.
The enroute descent phase began 3 miles west of Skanoer med Falsterbo, in Skane County, Sweden, and lasted 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft descended from 2,738 feet above sea level to 2,282 feet above sea level, a decrease of 456 feet. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted 12 minutes and covered a distance of 11 nautical miles, starting 6 miles northwest of Skanoer med Falsterbo, in Skane County, Sweden.
The final approach to runway 22L at EKCH Copenhagen Kastrup Airport began from the northeast, heading 221.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,274 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 22L was successful, with a touchdown point 103 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 126 knots, which was good, but the touchdown rate was fair at -260 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, but the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 16.3 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 1 degree Celsius, with a wind speed of 23 knots at 94 degrees. The crosswind was 19 knots, and the tailwind was 14 knots. The total landing distance was 1,556 meters, which accounted for 47% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 12 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical
The aircraft, FBW AIR TRANSAT C-GCKU, successfully landed on runway 22L at EKCH Copenhagen Kastrup Airport with a score of 93.5%. The final approach was initiated from the north east, heading 221.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,274 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 131 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 103 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is slightly off-center but not excessively so. The touchdown speed of 126 knots was within acceptable limits, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown rate of -260 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft could have been brought down more gently.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, which is a testament to the pilot's skill and attention to detail. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 1°C and winds of 23 knots at 94°. The crosswind component was 19 knots, while the tailwind component was 14 knots. These conditions presented a moderate challenge for the pilot, but they were still able to execute a safe and controlled landing.
The total landing distance of 1,556 meters was 47% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 16.3 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to the pilot's reaction to the wind conditions or other factors. Overall, the landing was successful, but there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown rate and runway rollout alignment.
