MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
Pull to 15 degrees at one rate and you get a clean liftoff, pull to the same 15 degrees at twice the rate and you get an overshoot, a push, and an oscillation through the first few hundred feet. The type-general rule of thumb is a rotation rate of about 2 to 3 degrees per second, which means roughly five to seven seconds from starting the pull to reaching the initial climb attitude of around 15 degrees nose-up. Count it out loud during your next takeoff and you will almost certainly discover you have been rotating in two seconds flat.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,022 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 213 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took approximately 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna Longitude, then departed from runway 09R at the Miami Executive Airport (KTMB). The takeoff distance was 687 meters, which accounted for 38% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 128 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 9 knots from a direction of 90 degrees. This resulted in a headwind of 9 knots and no crosswind. As the aircraft climbed, it reached an altitude of 43,156 feet above sea level, an increase of 42,116 feet from the initial altitude of 1,040 feet. This climb took 17 minutes and covered a distance of 98 nautical miles.
The enroute climb started overhead Three Lakes in Florida, and the aircraft continued to climb until it reached its cruising altitude. The enroute level cruise started 1 mile east of the Payson Ranch Airport in Punta Gorda, Florida, and lasted for 96 minutes. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 656 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent from an altitude of 43,883 feet above sea level to 1,986 feet above sea level. This descent took 23 minutes and covered a distance of 124 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started again 2 miles north east of the Bell Training Facility Heliport in Fort Worth, Texas, and lasted for 4 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 18 at the Houston Executive Airport (KTME) was made from the north, with a heading of 179.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,270 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 18, which had a length of 2,022 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target speed of 118 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 214 meters, but the touchdown speed of 113 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -217 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 23 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 150 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 6 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took approximately 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 892 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 148 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 2,077 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna Longitude aircraft successfully landed at KTME Houston Executive Airport, achieving a score of 94.4%. The final approach to runway 18 was initiated from the north, with a heading of 179.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,270 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was well-executed, with a good threshold height and a well-above-target threshold speed of 118 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's landing distance was satisfactory at 214 meters, which is within a reasonable range for the runway length of 2,022 meters. However, the touchdown speed of 113 knots was slightly faster than desired, indicating that the pilot may have been able to flare the aircraft more effectively to achieve a smoother touchdown. The touchdown rate of -217 feet per minute was fair, suggesting that the aircraft's descent was not excessively steep.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained a stable and consistent approach path. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 23°C and a gentle wind of 7 knots at 150°. The crosswind component was minimal at 4 knots, while the headwind component was 6 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft's approach.
The total landing distance of 928 meters was 46% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 14.0 meters from the centerline, indicating that the pilot may have experienced some difficulty in maintaining a straight course during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot demonstrated good control and decision-making skills throughout the approach and landing phases.
