Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,570 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,570 m of the 3,040 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 848 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Overall, this landing had some areas that need improvement, but there were also some positive aspects to highlight.
In the Approach Phase, it was noted that the descent path was above the glideslope limit. However, the heading alignment and speed were excellent, which shows good control of the aircraft in those areas.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, it was observed that the threshold height was very high and the landing flare was poor. These are areas that can be worked on to improve future landings.
During the Touchdown Phase, the touchdown rate was firm and the speed was high, which led to a long distance on the runway. Additionally, the runway alignment was noted to be poor. These aspects indicate a need to focus on proper touchdown technique and alignment for smoother landings in the future.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, the runway alignment was also flagged as poor. This is another area that can be improved with practice and attention to detail.
Overall, while there were some areas of concern in this landing, it's important to remember that every landing is an opportunity to learn and grow as a pilot. By focusing on the areas that need improvement and building on the strengths shown in this report, future landings can be even better. Keep up the good work and keep striving for excellence in your flying skills. You've got this!
