MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 997 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 997 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 133 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Great job on achieving a landing score of 94.3%! Let's break down your performance in each phase of the landing to see where you excelled and where there is room for improvement.
In the Approach Phase, it seems that there were a few areas that could be worked on. Your descent path was above the glideslope limit, which indicates that you may have come in too high on the approach. Additionally, your heading alignment was off, which could have contributed to potential issues during the landing. Keep practicing your approach to ensure you maintain the correct descent path and alignment.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, you did well with the threshold height and landing flare, which are crucial aspects of a successful landing. However, your touchdown rate was only fair, and your speed was slightly below target. Focus on maintaining a consistent speed and touchdown rate to improve in this area.
In the Touchdown Phase, your speed was on target, and you landed inside the touchdown zone, which is great. However, your touchdown distance from the centreline could be improved slightly. Pay close attention to your alignment during this phase of the landing.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was very good, indicating that you were able to keep the aircraft centered on the runway during the rollout. Continue practicing your alignment to ensure a smooth transition from touchdown to rollout.
Overall, your performance was strong, with specific areas that can be targeted for improvement. Keep up the good work, and focus on fine-tuning those areas to continue to improve your landing skills. With dedication and practice, you can achieve even higher scores in the future. Great job!
