Improve the rollout
Ground control varies with speed, full authority at walking pace, progressively reducing as groundspeed rises. The aircraft becomes twitchy at any speed, every small pedal input swings the nose, which can encourage large-amplitude leg inputs that no real aircraft would accept.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,266 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 613 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at SBPK João Simões Lopes Neto International Airport, taking approximately 3 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 06, with the aircraft taking off after covering 56% of the runway's length. The takeoff distance was 1,108 meters, and the liftoff speed was 144 knots.
As the aircraft climbed into the air, it encountered local weather conditions of 22°C temperature and winds of 7 knots at 82 degrees. The crosswind was 4 knots, and the headwind was 6 knots. The enroute climb started approximately 1 mile northeast of the airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,147 feet above sea level to 15,351 feet above sea level, an increase of 14,204 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 25 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 10 miles northwest of SSRU São Lourenço do Sul Airport, lasting 9 minutes and covering 47 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 21 miles north of Camaqua, descending from 15,389 feet above sea level to 1,300 feet above sea level, a decrease of 14,090 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 47 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 11 at SBPA Salgado Filho International Airport was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 91.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,277 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 11, which was 2,266 meters long, with a good threshold height. The threshold speed was well above the target at 143 knots, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 136 knots. The touchdown rate was excellent at -77 feet per minute.
The touchdown point was 200 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.3 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 21°C temperature and winds of 6 knots at 140 degrees, with a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,447 meters, which was 64% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.3 meters from the centreline.
After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, taking approximately 4 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 127 nautical miles, taking 36 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,276 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at Salgado Filho International Airport, achieving a score of 94.4%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 91.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,277 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 11, which has a length of 2,266 meters.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down 200 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, with a speed of 136 knots, which was slightly above the target speed. The touchdown rate was excellent, at -77 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.3 meters from the centerline, which may have contributed to the slightly fast touchdown speed.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 21°C and a gentle wind of 6 knots at 140°. The crosswind component was 5 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. These conditions likely contributed to the smooth landing.
The total landing distance was 1,447 meters, which is 64% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance, but may have benefited from a slightly longer runway to absorb the excess energy. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 9.3 meters from the centerline, which may have been a result of the initial touchdown position.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the ideal touchdown position and speed. However, the excellent touchdown rate and smooth landing distance suggest that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft throughout the landing process.
