MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,192 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 538 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 777-200ER taxied from the parking area to runway 25R at KPHX Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 6 minutes, covering 2 nm on the taxiways.
During the departure roll on runway 25R, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 160 kt and left the runway after traveling 1,736 m, which represented 55 % of the available length. Ambient conditions were 35 °C with a wind of 4 kt from 119°, a 2 kt cross-wind component and a 3 kt tail-wind component.
The initial climb began 1 mile south-east of Central City, Arizona, and the aircraft rose from 2,106 ft asl to 34,881 ft asl, an increase of 32,774 ft, in 23 minutes while covering 170 nm.
Level cruise commenced 8 miles east of Bowie, Arizona, and was maintained for 39 minutes, during which 331 nm were flown.
A second climb segment started 6 miles north-west of KFST Fort Stockton Pecos County Airport, Texas, climbing from 35,130 ft asl to 36,991 ft asl, an increase of 1,861 ft, in 3 minutes and covering 27 nm.
The subsequent cruise leg began 18 miles south-west of E48 Upton Co McCamey, Texas, and lasted 152 minutes, during which the aircraft covered 1,186 nm.
A third climb was initiated 6 miles north-east of KTNT Dade Collier Training and Transition Airport, Miami, Florida, raising the altitude from 37,501 ft asl to 38,991 ft asl, an increase of 1,490 ft, in 3 minutes while traversing 25 nm.
The final cruise segment started 1 mile west of Doral, Florida, and continued for 249 minutes, covering 1,947 nm.
Descent began 24 miles north of Mana, French Guiana, with the aircraft descending from 38,998 ft asl to 1,317 ft asl, a loss of 37,680 ft, in 24 minutes and over 121 nm.
On final approach to runway 08 at SOCA Cayenne - Félix Ebéoué Airport, the aircraft approached from the south-west on a heading of 65.0° at 4 nm and 1,285 ft agl. Local weather reported 27 °C, wind 3 kt from 80°, a 1 kt cross-wind and a 3 kt head-wind component.
Landing was executed on runway 08, whose length is 3,192 m. The threshold speed was 133 kt; touchdown occurred 120 m beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 126 kt, with a smooth touchdown rate of minus 145 fpm. The touchdown point was offset 10.5 m from the centreline.
Runway rollout measured a total landing distance of 1,377 m, representing 43 % of the runway, and the aircraft’s alignment during rollout was slightly off centreline by 10.0 m.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 3,815 nm, required 502 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 57,697 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 777-200ER approached runway 08 at SOCA Cayenne - Félix Ebéoué Airport from the south-west on a heading of 65.0° at 4 nm and 1,285 ft agl; the final approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits.
At threshold the height was good and the threshold speed was good at 133 kt; the aircraft crossed the threshold and the touchdown point was 120 m beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 126 kt described as good and a smooth touchdown rate of minus 145 fpm.
Touchdown occurred with the wheel track misaligned by 10.5 m from the centreline, the total landing distance measured 1,377 m (43 % of the 3,192 m runway), and the ambient conditions were temperature 27 °C, wind 3 kt from 080°, crosswind 1 kt and headwind 3 kt.
During rollout the aircraft remained slightly misaligned, deviating 10.0 m from the centreline.
Minor refinements should focus on centreline tracking to reduce the 10-meter touchdown and rollout offsets, ensuring a more precise alignment without compromising the overall high score of 95.0 %.
