MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
At the 300 ft gate: off the centreline.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 4,615 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the full 4,615 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,394 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Vienna International Airport's runway 29, the Cessna 208B began its takeoff roll, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 78 kt within 1,459 ft, which represented 13% of the available runway length. The aircraft then transitioned into a steady climb, reaching an altitude of 6,230 ft asl in 5 minutes while covering 11 nm. This climb phase started approximately 1 mile east of Schwechat, Austria, and was characterized by a moderate increase in altitude.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, reducing its altitude from 6,222 ft asl to 747 ft asl in 4 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nm. This descent phase started overhead Hernals, Wien, Austria, and was marked by a significant decrease in altitude. Upon reaching the final approach altitude, the aircraft aligned itself with runway 26 at Brumowski Air Base, approaching from the east at a heading of 264.0°. The landing was executed with a threshold speed of 52 kt, which was well below the target speed, necessitating caution to avoid stalling.
The Cessna 208B landed safely on runway 26, touching down at a speed of 44 kt and a distance of 1,380 ft, which represented 39% of the available runway length. The touchdown rate was fair at -280 fpm, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. Following touchdown, the aircraft maintained a good rollout alignment, eventually coming to a stop within 1,820 ft of the runway threshold. The total flight distance was 23 nm, and the aircraft consumed 83 lbs of fuel during the 10-minute flight.
The aircraft touched down on runway 26 at LOXT Brumowski Air Base with a good threshold height, indicating a well-executed approach. The threshold speed of 52 kt was significantly below the target, demonstrating a high degree of control and caution to avoid stalling. The touchdown distance of 1,380 ft was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 44 kt was also satisfactory.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft exhibited a fair touchdown rate of -280 fpm, which may indicate a slight loss of control during the landing phase. However, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained a high level of situational awareness and control throughout the approach. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 59 °F and a light headwind of 1 kt, contributed to a relatively stable and predictable environment for the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,820 ft, which accounted for 39% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control and alignment during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 91.2% reflecting a high degree of proficiency and control.
