MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 7,362 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 2,271 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 22 at the Marion County Regional Airport, KFLP. The Cessna CJ4 Citation took off with a takeoff distance of 2,222 feet, which was 45% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 146 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 64°F and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°, resulting in a negligible crosswind and headwind.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb overhead Flippin, Arkansas, and ascended from 1,688 feet above sea level to 12,513 feet above sea level, an increase of 10,825 feet in just 6 minutes, covering a distance of 24 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise began 1 mile east of the Boone County Airport, KHRO, and lasted for 15 minutes, covering a distance of 88 nautical miles.
The aircraft then started its enroute descent 2 miles east of Rose, Oklahoma, and descended from 12,505 feet above sea level to 4,236 feet above sea level, a decrease of 8,269 feet in 6 minutes, covering a distance of 29 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise resumed 1 mile north of Dobie's Airport, 0K6, and lasted for 8 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile.
The final descent began 1 mile northwest of Dobie's Airport, and the aircraft descended from 3,610 feet above sea level to 1,943 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,667 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 9 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 26 at the Tulsa International Airport, KTUL, from the east, heading 269.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,259 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 26 was successful, with a touchdown point 859 feet beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 96 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -83 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 12 feet from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 59°F and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°, resulting in a negligible crosswind and headwind.
The total landing distance was 3,387 feet, which was 46% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway in just 1 minute, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 157 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 45 minutes, with no fuel consumption reported.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation aircraft successfully landed at KTUL Tulsa International Airport, achieving an overall score of 88.5%. The final approach to runway 26 was conducted from the east, with the aircraft heading 269.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,259 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being above the target at 69 feet agl. However, the threshold speed was satisfactory at 110 knots, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown point was located 859 feet beyond the touchdown zone, which is slightly off-center but not significantly impacting the overall performance.
The touchdown speed of 96 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -83 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, demonstrating a controlled and stable landing. Although the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 12 feet from the centerline, this did not significantly impact the overall performance.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 59°F and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. The crosswind component was negligible at 0 knots, and the headwind component was 1 knot, which did not pose any significant challenges to the landing.
The total landing distance of 3,387 feet was 46% of the available runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating a smooth and controlled deceleration after touchdown.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and stability throughout the approach and landing phases. However, there is room for improvement in terms of centerline alignment and touchdown zone accuracy.
