Steady the approach
Preparing for a stable approach will give you time to decide on whether to attempt the landing or going around. Too much altitude with a high sink rate will result in carrying too much speed onto the runway. Configuring flaps and the gear late also won't help the speed decay.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply. These checks are the approach's score.

The rest of the report
The Commander 114 taxied to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport and commenced the take-off roll, covering 422 m which represents 23 % of the available runway. Liftoff was achieved at 79 kt under local conditions of 16 °C, wind 2 kt from 270°, with a 1 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt head-wind component.
After departure the aircraft entered a left-hand pattern for runway 23, flying a 1 nm entry segment in 24 seconds.
The subsequent left-hand cross-wind leg was less than 1 nm long and required 25 seconds to complete.
A left-hand downwind turn was flown for 2 nm, with the aircraft maintaining a 45.8° angle to the runway centreline.
The downwind leg extended 3 nm and was completed in 92 seconds.
Turning onto the base leg, the aircraft described a 2 nm base turn at a 53.8° angle to the runway.
The base leg itself was less than 1 nm and lasted 41 seconds.
A final turn of less than 1 nm was executed in 22 seconds, positioning the aircraft for the final approach.
During the final approach to runway 23 the aircraft descended from 473 ft AGL to 31 ft AGL in 49 seconds and met the stabilisation gate criteria.
Touchdown occurred on runway 23 with a threshold speed of 67 kt, touchdown speed of 55 kt and a touchdown rate of minus 47 fpm. The aircraft landed 249 m from the threshold, representing a total landing distance of 430 m (23 % of the runway), and alignment on touchdown and rollout was recorded as very good and perfect respectively.
The rollout continued without deviation, maintaining perfect runway alignment until the aircraft came to a stop.
In total the flight covered 10 nm, required a duration of 6 (units as given), and consumed 2 kg of fuel.
Aircraft Commander 114 completed the final approach to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport, descending from 473 ft agl to 31 ft agl in 49 seconds and receiving a stabilisation-gate score.
At threshold the aircraft maintained a good speed of 67 kt and achieved a good threshold height.
Touchdown occurred 249 m down the runway at a good speed of 55 kt, with a perfect vertical rate of minus 47 fpm and a very good touchdown alignment.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 430 m, representing 23 % of the 1,866 m runway, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect.
Minor refinements could focus on adjusting the touchdown point slightly farther downfield toward the typical 300 m aim point while preserving the current speed and alignment control.
