Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,334 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 376 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 10 at SBPB Doutor João Silva Filho International Airport. The aircraft, an Airbus A320, accelerated down the runway and lifted off at a speed of 151 kt, covering a distance of 736 m, which was 32% of the runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 29 °C and a gentle headwind of 8 kt from a direction of 71 °.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the airport. The climb was steep, with the aircraft ascending from 1,038 ft above sea level to 1,770 ft in less than 1 minute, covering a distance of less than 1 nm. This rapid ascent allowed the aircraft to reach a higher altitude quickly, setting the stage for a smooth and efficient cruise.
The enroute level cruise phase of the flight began approximately 1 mile north-east of the airport and lasted for 3 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 3 nm. This phase of the flight was characterized by a stable and consistent altitude, allowing the aircraft to maintain a steady speed and fuel consumption.
As the aircraft approached the end of its flight, it began its final approach to runway 10 at SBPB Doutor João Silva Filho International Airport. The approach was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 76.0 ° at a distance of 1 nm from the runway threshold. The aircraft was at an altitude of 596 ft above ground level at this point, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 28 °C and a gentle headwind of 10 kt from a direction of 72 °.
The landing was smooth and controlled, with the aircraft touching down on the runway at a speed of 108 kt. The touchdown distance was 375 m, which was 37% of the runway length, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -89 fpm. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown.
Following touchdown, the aircraft began its rollout, which was characterized by a perfect alignment with the runway centerline. The total landing distance was 854 m, which was 37% of the runway length. The aircraft used a total of 249 kg of fuel during the flight, which covered a distance of 7 nm and took approximately 7 minutes to complete.
