Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,193 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 428 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, a Just Flight RJ85 CityJet, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KDFW Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. This process took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 36R, with a takeoff distance of 839 meters, which was 20% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 137 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 10 knots at 0 degrees. There was no crosswind, but a headwind of 10 knots was present. As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the KDFW airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,603 feet above sea level to 27,160 feet above sea level, an increase of 25,556 feet, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 118 nautical miles.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which lasted for 4 minutes and covered a distance of 40 nautical miles. This phase of the flight took place 1 mile south west of Avery, Texas. Following the cruise, the aircraft began its enroute descent, which started 5 miles north of Yarborough Landing, Arkansas. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 27,204 feet above sea level to 1,553 feet above sea level, a decrease of 25,651 feet, in 17 minutes and covering a distance of 102 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 04R at KLIT Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field was made from the south west, with a heading of 46.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,283 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 04R, which had a length of 2,193 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 121 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 427 meters, and the touchdown speed was 107 knots, which was also good. The touchdown rate was good at -168 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 3 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 12 knots at 0 degrees. There was a crosswind of 9 knots and a headwind of 8 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 269 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 55 minutes. The aircraft used 1,776 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Just Flight RJ85 CityJet aircraft successfully landed at KLIT Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field, achieving a high score of 98.3%. The final approach to runway 04R was conducted from the southwest, with a heading of 46.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,283 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 121 knots. The touchdown distance was also satisfactory at 427 meters, and the touchdown speed of 107 knots was within the acceptable range. Furthermore, the touchdown rate of -168 feet per minute was good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 3°C and a wind speed of 12 knots from a direction of 0°. The crosswind component was 9 knots, while the headwind component was 8 knots. These conditions did not appear to have any significant impact on the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,052 meters was 48% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the aircraft was well under control during the landing and rollout phases.
Overall, the landing was executed smoothly and efficiently, with the aircraft touching down on the runway with a good speed and distance. The high score achieved by the pilot is a testament to their skill and experience in handling the RJ85 aircraft.
