Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,601 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 379 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, taking approximately 6 minutes to cover a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 04L, with the aircraft lifting off after a takeoff distance of 1,243 meters, which was 49% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 141 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 14°C temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots at 239 degrees. The crosswind was 1 knot, while the tailwind was 2 knots. The enroute climb started over Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, with the aircraft ascending from 684 feet above sea level to 34,126 feet above sea level, an increase of 33,442 feet in 17 minutes, covering a distance of 106 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began over Revel, France, and lasted for 16 minutes, covering a distance of 228 nautical miles. The descent started 1 mile southwest of Ascoux, France, and took 18 minutes to descend from 34,309 feet above sea level to 1,682 feet above sea level, a decrease of 32,627 feet, covering a distance of 120 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 31 at Caen-Carpiquet Airport was made from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 303.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,440 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 31, which was 1,601 meters long. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 138 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 379 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 132 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -228 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 5°C temperature and a wind speed of 6 knots at 260 degrees, with a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,016 meters, which was 63% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. Taxiing to the parking area from the runway took approximately 1 minute, covering less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 462 nautical miles, taking 58 minutes, and the aircraft used 3,668 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at Caen-Carpiquet Airport, LFRK, with a score of 98.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 303.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,440 feet above ground level. The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the local weather conditions.
The temperature at the time of landing was 5°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 260°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 4 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing. The aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 138 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed range.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was slightly higher than desired, at 132 knots, which resulted in a fair touchdown rate of -228 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilot maintained control and stability throughout the landing.
The total landing distance was 1,016 meters, which accounted for 63% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability during the post-landing phase.
Overall, the landing was executed with precision and control, with the pilot effectively managing the aircraft's speed and alignment throughout the approach and touchdown phases. The score of 98.9% reflects the high level of proficiency and skill demonstrated by the pilot during this landing.
