Improve the pattern downwind leg
Spacing cues are relative to your eyepoint, so two simmers with different FOV settings following the same wingtip cue fly patterns half a mile different in width, and a wide FOV compresses depth so the runway on base looks further away than it is, biasing you towards a late turn. Pick a camera position and FOV, save it, and never change it, because every judgement you calibrate is calibrated to that picture.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: seven checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply. These checks are the approach's score.
At the 500 ft gate: centreline 1.5° off, against a 1° limit.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,866 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 303 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The 0.24 G arrival is the firm side of smooth.
The rest of the report
The Hawker H25B taxied to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport and commenced the departure roll. The aircraft achieved a take-off distance of 848 m, representing 45 % of the available runway, and lifted off at 142 kt. Ambient conditions were 16 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, a cross-wind component of 1 kt and a head-wind component of 2 kt.
During the left-hand pattern the aircraft entered the circuit 2 nm from the runway in 39 seconds, then proceeded on the cross-wind leg for 1 nm in 21 seconds. The down-wind turn covered 4 nm with an angle to the runway of 47.5°, followed by a down-wind leg of 5 nm completed in 109 seconds. The base-leg turn spanned 4 nm at an angle of 45.8°, after which the base leg of 2 nm was flown in 59 seconds. The final turn was less than 1 nm and lasted 30 seconds, positioning the aircraft for the final approach.
The final approach descent reduced altitude from 869 ft AGL to 57 ft AGL in 72 seconds, and the aircraft met the stabilisation gates criteria.
On runway 23 the Hawker H25B touched down with a threshold speed of 110 kt. Touchdown occurred 300 m from the threshold at 99 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 290 fpm and perfect runway alignment. The total landing distance was 748 m, equivalent to 40 % of the runway length of 1,866 m, and the rollout alignment was judged very good.
The flight covered a total distance of 20 nm, required 8 units of time as recorded, and consumed 76 kg of fuel.
The final approach to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport descended from 869 ft agl to 57 ft agl in 72 seconds and was scored on the stabilisation gates.
At threshold the aircraft maintained a good threshold height and a good threshold speed of 110 kt.
Touchdown occurred 300 m down the runway at a good speed of 99 kt, with a perfect runway touchdown alignment; the touchdown rate was fair at minus 290 fpm.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 748 m, representing 40 % of the 1,866 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was very good.
To improve the overall score, focus on reducing the sink rate during flare to bring the touchdown rate closer to the target range, while maintaining the current alignment and speed performance.
