Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 840 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 840 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 34 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 30 at Bad Saulgau Airfield, with the Kodiak 100 aircraft taking off after a distance of 206 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 66 knots. At the time of departure, the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 10 knots at a direction of 69 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 8 knots and a tailwind of 5 knots.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb 1 mile south east of Herbertingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. The climb took place from an altitude of 2,636 feet above sea level to 4,103 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,466 feet in just 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 1 mile east of Kanzach, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, and lasted for 5 minutes, covering a distance of 14 nautical miles.
The enroute descent began overhead Ochsenhausen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, where the aircraft descended from 4,086 feet above sea level to 3,111 feet above sea level, a decrease of 975 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. The descent was followed by another level cruise, which started 2 miles west of Berkheim, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27 at Tannheim Airfield, EDMT, was made from the east, heading 275.0 degrees at an altitude of 72 feet above ground level, with a distance of 0 nautical miles from the runway. The landing took place on runway 27, which had a length of 840 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 67 knots. The touchdown distance was 26 meters, which was within acceptable limits. However, the touchdown speed of 67 knots was slightly higher than desired, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -100 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 4.3 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 8 knots at a direction of 20 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 7 knots and a tailwind of 2 knots. The total landing distance was 261 meters, which accounted for 31% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The total flight distance was 28 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 17 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 39 kilograms.
The aircraft in question, a Kodiak 100, successfully landed at EDMT Tannheim Airfield, achieving a score of 94.0%. The final approach was conducted from the east, heading 275.0° at an altitude of 72 feet above ground level (agl) and 0 nautical miles from the runway.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on runway 27, which has a length of 840 meters. The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. The threshold speed, which is the speed at which the aircraft should touch down, was also good at 67 knots.
However, the touchdown speed of 67 knots was slightly faster than ideal, which may have resulted in a slightly longer touchdown distance. The touchdown distance was reported as 26 meters, which is within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate, which measures how quickly the aircraft descended to the ground, was excellent at -100 feet per minute (fpm).
One area for improvement was the runway touchdown position, which was slightly misaligned by 4.3 meters from the centerline. This may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's approach path or a miscalculation of the runway alignment.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 16°C and winds of 8 knots at 20°. The crosswind component was 7 knots, while the tailwind component was 2 knots. These conditions did not appear to have a significant impact on the landing.
The total landing distance was 261 meters, which is 31% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop quickly. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, suggesting that the aircraft was able to maintain its direction and speed during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and precision during the approach and touchdown phases.
