Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,833 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,011 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Vision Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at USTR Roshchino International Airport, taking approximately 3 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 12, with the aircraft lifting off after covering 20% of the runway, which was 1,784 feet. The liftoff speed was 98 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 41°F temperature and a 5-knot wind blowing from 330°. The crosswind was minimal at 1 knot, while the tailwind was 5 knots. The enroute climb began 1 mile east of the airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,360 feet above sea level to 28,122 feet, an increase of 26,762 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 42 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 13 miles northeast of Talitsa, lasting 14 minutes and covering 60 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 14 miles north of Sukhoy Log, descending from 27,837 feet to 1,908 feet in 24 minutes, covering a distance of 47 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26L at USSS Koltsovo Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 274.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,152 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 8,833 feet, and the threshold height was good. However, the threshold speed was above the target at 81 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 1,002 feet, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 73 knots. The touchdown rate was good at -161 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 11 feet from the centerline. Local weather conditions at the time of landing were 36°F temperature and a 3-knot wind blowing from 60°, with a crosswind of 2 knots and a tailwind of 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,953 feet, which was 22% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing from the runway to the parking area took approximately 3 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 156 nautical miles, taking 63 minutes, and the aircraft used 470 pounds of fuel.
The Vision Jet successfully landed on runway 26L at USSS Koltsovo Airport, achieving a score of 99.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 274.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,152 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was executed on a runway with a length of 8,833 feet, providing ample space for the aircraft to touch down safely.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was above the target speed, coming in at 81 knots. This may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to maintain a higher speed for a smoother landing.
The touchdown distance was within acceptable limits, measuring 1,002 feet. However, the touchdown speed was slightly higher than desired, reaching 73 knots. Despite this, the touchdown rate was good, with a descent rate of -161 feet per minute (fpm). This suggests that the aircraft was able to touch down smoothly and maintain control.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned, deviating from the centerline by 11 feet. This may have been due to a slight miscalculation of the aircraft's position or a minor deviation in the pilot's control inputs. However, the runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain control and stabilize quickly after touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 36°F and winds of 3 knots at 60°. The crosswind and tailwind components were both minimal, at 2 knots each. The total landing distance was 1,953 feet, which is 22% of the runway length. This suggests that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop within a reasonable distance, without exceeding the available runway length. Overall, the Vision Jet's landing was successful, with only minor deviations from the ideal performance.
