Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,309 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,309 m of the 3,209 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 328 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A319-131, then departed from runway 16 at Melbourne International Airport (YMML). The takeoff distance was 2,163 meters, which accounted for 59% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 169 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 190 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 5 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south of Melbourne Airport, and reached a maximum altitude of 38,040 feet above sea level. The climb phase covered a distance of 145 nautical miles and took 22 minutes, with an increase in altitude of 36,732 feet.
Following the climb phase, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 3 miles east of Bethanga and lasted for 225 minutes. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 1,835 nautical miles. The enroute descent phase began 97 miles southwest of Castaway Island Seaplane Base, and the aircraft descended from 38,400 feet to 1,317 feet above sea level, a decrease of 37,083 feet in 29 minutes, covering a distance of 106 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 02 at Nadi International Airport (NFFN) was made from the southwest, with a heading of 38.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,262 feet above ground level. The aircraft then landed on runway 02, which had a length of 3,209 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 120 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 0 knots.
The landing was successful, with a threshold speed of 126 knots and a touchdown speed of 118 knots. The touchdown distance was 330 meters, and the touchdown rate was firm at -314 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 10 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 2,228 meters, which accounted for 69% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 11.8 meters from the centerline.
The final taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 2,095 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 292 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 10,888 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319-131 aircraft successfully landed at Nadi International Airport, achieving a score of 94.5%. The final approach to runway 02 was conducted from the southwest, with a heading of 38.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,262 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 126 knots. The touchdown distance was within acceptable limits at 330 meters, and the touchdown speed of 118 knots was also good. However, the touchdown rate was slightly firm at -314 feet per minute, indicating a slightly steeper descent than ideal.
Despite the good overall performance, there were some minor issues with the landing. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 10 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's approach path. Additionally, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 11.8 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight drift in the aircraft's direction during the rollout.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 24°C and a light wind of 4 knots from a direction of 120°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was negligible at 0 knots. Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor issues that need to be addressed to improve the aircraft's performance.
