Improve the pattern downwind leg
The 45-degrees-behind-the-wing cue assumes you can turn your head and use peripheral vision. Downwind spacing cues like "put the wingtip halfway up the strut" assume a fixed, known eyepoint. Neither survives a monitor unmodified. If you fly on a fixed monitor, stop pretending and fly a numbers-based circuit.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 7,164 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,569 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Airbus A320 Neo departed from runway 16 at KPVD Theodore Francis Green State Airport. The takeoff distance was 2,592 ft, which was 47% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 159 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was 55°F, with a wind of 12 knots coming from 140°, resulting in a headwind of 12 knots.
The aircraft entered a left-hand pattern from runway 16 at KPVD Theodore Francis Green State Airport, covering a distance of less than 1 nm in 21 seconds. It then proceeded with a left-hand pattern crosswind, covering less than 1 nm in 10 seconds. The pattern downwind turn was 3 nm in distance, with an angle to the runway of 101.4°.
The landing took place on runway 23 at KPVD Theodore Francis Green State Airport, which has a runway length of 7,164 ft. The height at the threshold was 41 ft above ground level, with a speed of 119 knots at the threshold. The touchdown occurred 1,558 ft from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 110 knots and a vertical speed indicator reading of -205 ft/min. The local weather at the time of landing was 54°F, with a wind of 11 knots from 140°, resulting in a crosswind of 10 knots and a headwind of 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 2,985 ft, which was 42% of the runway length. The total flight distance covered was 7 nm, taking 35 minutes, and the aircraft used 13,005 lbs of fuel for the entire flight.
