Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,809 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 396 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 01 at ZGKL Guilin Liangjiang International Airport. The takeoff distance was 519 meters, which accounted for 16% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 117 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 9°C, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 350°.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile north of ZGKL Guilin Liangjiang International Airport. The climb took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 56 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,617 feet above sea level to 33,439 feet above sea level, an increase of 31,822 feet. The enroute level cruise then began 39 miles west of Babu, China, and lasted for 15 minutes, covering a distance of 122 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 7 miles west of Zhaoqing, China. The descent took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 63 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 33,911 feet above sea level to 11,505 feet above sea level, a decrease of 22,407 feet. The enroute level cruise then began again 7 miles south east of Shiqiao, China, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began another enroute descent, which started 14 miles south east of Daliang, China. The descent took 4 minutes and covered a distance of 15 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 11,513 feet above sea level to 5,038 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,475 feet. The enroute level cruise then began again 7 miles south west of ZGSZ Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, and lasted for 9 minutes, covering a distance of 14 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final enroute descent, which started 12 miles south of Dongguan, China. The descent took 4 minutes and covered a distance of 7 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 4,511 feet above sea level to 1,290 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,221 feet.
The final approach to runway 16 at ZGSZ Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport was made from the north west, with a heading of 153.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,273 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown speed of 87 knots and a smooth touchdown rate of -125 feet per minute. The touchdown distance was good at 395 meters, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.3 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 18°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 50°. The crosswind was 4 knots, and the tailwind was 1 knot. The total landing distance was 1,157 meters, which accounted for 30% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking from the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 296 nautical miles, and the flight took 70 minutes. The aircraft used 602 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation successfully landed at ZGSZ Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, achieving a score of 96.5%. The aircraft approached the runway from the northwest, heading 153.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,273 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the local weather conditions, which included a temperature of 18°C and a gentle wind of 4 knots at 50°.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on runway 16, which has a length of 3,809 meters. The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 100 knots, coming in at 99 knots. The touchdown distance of 395 meters was also within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 87 knots was good. The touchdown rate was smooth, with a descent rate of -125 feet per minute (fpm).
However, there was a slight deviation in the runway touchdown position, with the aircraft landing 6.3 meters off-centerline. This minor misalignment did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing. The local weather conditions, including a gentle tailwind of 1 knot and a crosswind of 4 knots, did not pose any significant challenges to the pilot.
The total landing distance of 1,157 meters was 30% of the runway length, which is a reasonable figure. The runway rollout alignment was excellent, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was executed smoothly and efficiently, with the pilot demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and landing phases.
