E T Joshua Airport (ICAO: TVSV) sits at Arnos Vale on the outskirts of Kingstown, Saint Vincent, and for decades was the principal gateway to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It offers a single hard-surfaced, lit runway of just over 4,600 feet, with no instrument landing system, making it a straightforward but characterful visual approach for pilots exploring the Eastern Caribbean.
E T Joshua Airport lies at Arnos Vale, in the Parish of Saint George, close to the capital Kingstown on the island of Saint Vincent. Formerly known as Arnos Vale Airport, it was renamed in honour of Ebenezer Theodore Joshua, the first chief minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. For the simulator pilot it is an interesting short-runway Caribbean field, historically the main airport serving the islands before the construction of Argyle International Airport.
The airport is located at Arnos Vale, Parish of Saint George, on the southern side of Saint Vincent island, near Kingstown.
E T Joshua Airport has a single physical runway, 07/25, measuring 4,634 feet with a hard surface and runway lighting. There is no instrument landing system serving the field.
The airport was originally known as Arnos Vale Airport before being renamed E T Joshua Airport in honour of Ebenezer Theodore Joshua, the first chief minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. For many years it served as the principal air link for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, hosting regional carriers such as Grenadine Airways, Mustique Airways and SVG Air before the development of a second, larger airport at Argyle intended to take over international services.
E T Joshua Airport has historically served as a hub for regional operators including Grenadine Airways, Mustique Airways and SVG Air, connecting Saint Vincent with the Grenadines and neighbouring islands. It was expected to be complemented, and eventually superseded for larger international traffic, by the newer Argyle International Airport elsewhere on Saint Vincent. Scenery recreating E T Joshua Airport has been produced for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, giving simulator pilots the opportunity to fly into this compact Caribbean field.
