MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,992 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 467 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 02R at ZUCK Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The Boeing 737-600 took off with a takeoff distance of 1,141 meters, which was 35% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 150 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 261 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the tailwind was 1 knot.
As the aircraft climbed out of Chongqing, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 33,286 feet above sea level. This was an increase of 30,886 feet in just 24 minutes, covering a distance of 186 nautical miles. The climb started 1 mile northeast of the airport and continued until the aircraft reached its cruising altitude.
The enroute level cruise started 35 miles east of ZHES Enshi Xujiaping Airport and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 17 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 33,771 feet to 39,012 feet, an increase of 5,241 feet in 9 minutes, covering 91 nautical miles. The climb started 41 miles west of Yichang.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, this time lasting 67 minutes and covering 659 nautical miles. This cruise started 20 miles south of Jingmen. After this, the aircraft began its descent, starting 102 miles southwest of RKGI Alddreu Airfield. The descent from 38,931 feet to 2,231 feet took 10 minutes, covering 183 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, lasting 2 minutes and covering 7 nautical miles. This cruise started 16 miles southwest of RJFE Fukue Airport. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 11 miles southwest of the airport. The descent from 2,199 feet to 1,443 feet took 2 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 03 at RJFE Fukue Airport was from the southwest, with a heading of 27.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,174 feet above ground level. The landing on the runway was successful, with a touchdown point 52 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 124 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was smooth at -117 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.3 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 19 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 199 degrees. The crosswind was 0 knots, and the tailwind was 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,002 meters, which was 50% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway, taking 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,155 nautical miles, taking 118 minutes, and the aircraft used 5,967 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 737-600 aircraft successfully landed at RJFE Fukue Airport, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in its approach and landing procedures. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the southwest, heading 27.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,174 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot maintained a steady course, ensuring a smooth and controlled descent onto the runway.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft performed well, with a threshold speed of 133 knots, which is within the acceptable range. The touchdown point was 52 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, but this deviation was not significant enough to impact the overall safety of the landing. The touchdown speed of 124 knots was also within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -117 feet per minute (fpm) was smooth, indicating a controlled and stable descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 19°C and a gentle wind of 4 knots from a direction of 199°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind component and a slight tailwind of 4 knots, which did not significantly impact the aircraft's performance. The runway length of 1,992 meters was sufficient to accommodate the aircraft's landing distance, which was 1,002 meters, or 50% of the runway length.
The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the post-landing phase, ensuring a safe and stable taxiing process. Overall, the landing was executed with precision and control, demonstrating the pilot's expertise and the aircraft's capabilities.
