Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,952 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,952 m of the 2,438 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 553 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Denver International Airport, the Embraer E175 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the designated runway, 34L, taking approximately 7 minutes and covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. As the aircraft reached the runway threshold, it initiated its departure roll, utilizing 35% of the available runway length to achieve liftoff at a speed of 146 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 27°C, with a wind speed of 22 knots from a direction of 80°, resulting in a crosswind component of 21 knots and a headwind component of 4 knots.
As the aircraft climbed away from Denver, it began its enroute climb, ascending from an initial altitude of 6,331 feet above sea level to a cruising altitude of 21,826 feet, a vertical gain of 15,495 feet, in just 8 minutes and covering a distance of 40 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise phase followed, lasting 5 minutes and spanning 38 nautical miles, before the aircraft initiated its enroute descent, reducing its altitude from 21,505 feet to 8,526 feet, a decrease of 12,979 feet, in 11 minutes and covering 46 nautical miles. The final approach to Aspen-Pitkin County Airport's runway 15 was conducted from the north, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 161.0° at an altitude of 835 feet above ground level and a distance of 3 nautical miles from the runway threshold.
The Embraer E175 landed on runway 15 at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, utilizing 77% of the available runway length, which measured 2,441 meters. The touchdown point was located 144 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 127 knots, slightly above the target speed. The touchdown rate was smooth, at -148 feet per minute, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking approximately 2 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 131 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 34 minutes and a fuel consumption of 688 kilograms.
The Embraer E175 aircraft touched down on runway 15 at KASE Aspen-Pitkin County Airport (Sardy Field) with a smooth touchdown rate of -148 fpm, although the touchdown speed of 127 kt was slightly above the target. The aircraft's threshold speed of 136 kt was well above the target, indicating a stable approach. The good threshold height allowed for a controlled descent into the touchdown zone.
The touchdown point was 144 m beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may have been influenced by the slightly fast touchdown speed. However, the runway touchdown position was only 3.4 m off centreline, demonstrating good control during the rollout phase. The aircraft's rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft maintaining a consistent path along the centreline. The total landing distance of 1,879 m was 77% of the runway length, indicating a controlled and efficient rollout.
The approach quality was good, with a stable and controlled descent into the touchdown zone. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 27 °C and a light wind of 6 kt at 300 °, did not appear to have a significant impact on the landing. The Embraer E175 aircraft scored 97.8% for this landing, reflecting the high level of control and precision demonstrated during the approach, touchdown, and rollout phases.
