Shorten the long landing
Ground effect becomes significant below about one wingspan of height. A Cessna 172, with a 36 ft span, enters ground effect at flare height - the float it feels in the hold-off is ground effect arriving on cue. An A320, with a span around 117 ft, has been in ground effect since before the threshold and there is no sudden cushion to feel, only a gradual reduction in induced drag that lengthens any float you allow.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,744 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 942 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Great job on achieving an aircraft landing score of 80.4%! While there were some areas that could use improvement, there were also many positive aspects to your landing.
Starting with the Approach Phase, it is important to focus on maintaining a descent path within the glideslope limit and keeping your speed at the target. By working on these aspects, you can ensure a smoother transition into the Landing Phase.
In the Landing Phase, paying attention to the threshold height and having a good landing flare will help improve the overall landing quality. Making adjustments in these areas will ultimately lead to a more controlled and precise touchdown.
Moving on to the Touchdown Phase, aiming for a softer touchdown and keeping speed closer to the target will enhance the overall landing experience. Additionally, focusing on touchdown point accuracy and runway touchdown position will further refine your landing technique.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, maintaining good runway alignment is crucial for a safe and efficient landing. By continuing to practice and refine your skills in this area, you can further improve your overall landing performance.
Overall, while there are areas for improvement, your landing score shows great potential. Keep up the hard work and dedication to improving your skills, and you will see continued progress in your aircraft landings. Congratulations on your achievement!
