MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,444 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 440 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The aircraft taxied from the parking area to the runway, a movement that lasted 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nm.
On runway 33 at SVBC General José Antonio Anzoategui International Airport the departure roll used a takeoff distance of 731 m, equal to 27 % of the runway, and liftoff was achieved at 98 kt. Local weather reported a temperature of 30 °C with wind calm at 0 kt and no cross- or head-wind component.
Climb began 2 mi west of Barcelona, Venezuela, where the aircraft rose from 912 ft asl to 4 998 ft asl, gaining 4 086 ft in 4 minutes while traversing 17 nm.
The first level cruise started 4 mi southeast of Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, and continued for 59 minutes, covering 246 nm.
Descent was initiated 1 mi south of TTCP A.N.R. Robinson International Airport, Tobago, with a reduction from 5 490 ft asl to 1 532 ft asl, a loss of 3 958 ft in 5 minutes over 20 nm.
A second level cruise commenced 15 mi west of TTCP A.N.R. Robinson International Airport, lasting 3 minutes and covering 12 nm.
Final approach to runway 11 at TTCP A.N.R. Robinson International Airport was flown from the west on a heading of 94.0° at 4 nm and 1 232 ft agl.
Landing on runway 11, whose length is 2 444 m, occurred with a threshold speed slightly above target at 90 kt. Touchdown was recorded at 440 m down the runway, at 79 kt, with a smooth touchdown rate of minus 135 fpm; runway touchdown alignment was perfect. Weather at the time was 29 °C with wind 4 kt from 80°, crosswind 1 kt and headwind 4 kt.
The total landing distance measured 795 m, representing 33 % of the runway, and the runway rollout alignment remained perfect.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm.
Overall, the flight covered 303 nm, required 79 minutes, and consumed 271 kg of fuel.
The TBM 930 on a final approach to runway 11 at TTCP A.N.R. Robinson International Airport was aligned on a heading of 94.0° from 4 nm out and 1,232 ft agl. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits.
At threshold the height was reported as good and the threshold speed was slightly above target at 90 kt.
Touchdown occurred 440 m down the runway; the touchdown speed of 79 kt was a little fast, the vertical rate was smooth at minus 135 fpm, and runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The total landing distance was 795 m, representing 33 % of the 2,444 m runway, and rollout alignment was perfect.
Reduce touchdown speed by a few knots to meet the target speed, and fine-tune flare timing to achieve the desired speed without compromising a smooth rate.
