Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,783 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 384 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, then departed from runway 05 at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,862 meters, which accounted for 67% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 147 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of -0°C and a wind speed of 16 knots at a direction of 90°. This resulted in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 13 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead Fuhlsbuettel in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Germany. The climb took 19 minutes and covered a distance of 119 nautical miles, with the aircraft ascending from 1,106 feet above sea level to 36,675 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,569 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 12 miles east of Stege in the Region Sjaelland, Denmark. This phase lasted for 14 minutes and covered a distance of 107 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 25 miles east of EKNE Bodilsker Airstrip Nexo in the Region Hovedstaden, Denmark. The descent took 22 minutes and covered a distance of 97 nautical miles, with the aircraft descending from 37,008 feet above sea level to 1,879 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,129 feet.
The final approach to runway 11 at EPGD Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport was made from the west, with the aircraft heading 113.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,397 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 11, which had a length of 2,783 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 139 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 385 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 131 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -265 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -8°C and a wind speed of 10 knots at a direction of 90°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 10 knots. The total landing distance was 1,194 meters, which accounted for 43% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 332 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 67 minutes. The aircraft used 2,893 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 successfully landed at EPGD Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in its approach and landing procedures. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the west, heading 113.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,397 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with a high degree of precision, resulting in a 99.4% score.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 131 knots, which was slightly above the target speed. However, the touchdown distance of 385 meters was considered good, indicating that the pilot had maintained control and stability throughout the approach. The runway touchdown alignment was also very good, suggesting that the pilot had successfully aligned the aircraft with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of -8°C and a wind speed of 10 knots from a direction of 90°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 10 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the approach and landing. The total landing distance of 1,194 meters was 43% of the runway length, indicating that the pilot had maintained a safe and controlled descent.
The rollout alignment after touchdown was also very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability during the critical phase of the landing. Overall, the Airbus A321's landing at EPGD Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport was a success, with the pilot executing a precise and controlled approach and landing.
