Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,101 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 212 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Scottsdale Airport (KSDL) took 17 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Piper Aerostar 600 registered as NI22PC, began its departure roll on runway 21. The takeoff distance of 595 meters, which accounted for 25% of the runway, was achieved at a liftoff speed of 101 knots. Local weather conditions at the time of departure included a temperature of 42°C, with a wind of 12 knots at 219°, resulting in a 1-knot crosswind and a 12-knot headwind.
As the aircraft departed Scottsdale Airport, it initiated an enroute climb 1 mile southwest of the airport, rising from an altitude of 2,274 feet above sea level to 2,683 feet in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles. The climb was followed by a 20-minute level cruise 2 miles south of the airport, during which the aircraft covered 58 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb 2 miles east of Casa Grande, Arizona, increasing its altitude from 2,960 feet to 3,475 feet in 2 minutes, while covering 4 nautical miles. The climb was followed by an 11-minute level cruise 3 miles northwest of Eloy Municipal Airport (E60), during which the aircraft covered 34 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 12 at Marana Regional Airport (KAVQ), descending from an altitude of 603 feet above ground level while heading 125°. The landing was executed with a threshold speed slightly below the target at 83 knots, resulting in a touchdown distance of 210 meters, which was 28% of the runway length. The touchdown speed of 73 knots was good, but the touchdown rate of -204 feet per minute was fair. The aircraft landed slightly off-centerline, with a runway touchdown position 3.7 meters from the centerline. Taxiing from the runway to the parking area took 6 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 106 nautical miles, taking 48 minutes, and the aircraft used 44 kilograms of fuel.
The aircraft, NI22PC, initiated its final approach to runway 12 at KAVQ Marana Regional Airport from the north west, aligning with the runway heading of 125.0° at 2 nautical miles and 603 feet above ground level. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a good threshold height achieved. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target, reaching 83 knots.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, the touchdown distance was good at 210 meters, and the touchdown speed of 73 knots was within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate of -204 feet per minute was fair, indicating a slight loss of altitude upon touchdown. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 3.7 meters, which may require attention in future approaches. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 41°C and a wind of 8 knots at 304°, resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a tailwind of 8 knots.
The total landing distance of 579 meters was 28% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short rollout. The runway rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft maintaining a consistent path along the centreline. Overall, the landing performance of NI22PC was satisfactory, with a score of 99.3%.
