Arrival
Reduce power earlier on final to bleed speed back to 68 kt before crossing the threshold.
What happened: You crossed the threshold at 78 kt, 10 kt above the 68 kt target.
Watch for: Airspeed, targeting 68 kt at the threshold.
See Arrival Landing
Bank angle in the pattern is conventionally kept to 20 to 30 degrees, and the base-to-final turn is where that convention earns its keep. Stall speed rises with bank because the wing must produce more lift in a turn. Roughly 7 per cent higher at 30 degrees, about 19 per cent at 45, and around 40 per cent at 60. At 65 kt on base you don't have much margin to spend steepening a turn to salvage an overshoot.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply. These checks are the approach's score.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,490 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 360 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Commander 114 departed EHGG Groningen Airport Eelde from runway 23, achieving a take-off roll of 469 m which represented 19 % of the available runway. Liftoff occurred at 82 kt. Ambient conditions were 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, a cross-wind component of 1 kt and a head-wind component of 2 kt.
During the final approach the aircraft descended from 390 ft AGL to 50 ft AGL in 41 seconds, satisfying the stabilisation gate criteria before touchdown.
The inbound pattern was conducted left-hand. Entry from runway 23 covered less than 1 nm in 22 seconds, followed by a left-hand crosswind segment of the same distance and duration. The downwind turn spanned 1 nm with a 45° angle to the runway measured at 77.0°, and the downwind leg extended 2 nm in 60 seconds. The base-leg turn covered 2 nm at a 45° angle of 59.7°, after which the base leg was less than 1 nm in 38 seconds. The final turn was also less than 1 nm and lasted 27 seconds, after which the aircraft entered the final approach.
Landing was executed on runway 23, whose length is 2,490 m. The threshold speed was recorded at 78 kt, above the target. Touchdown occurred 360 m down the runway at 54 kt with a vertical speed of minus 93 fpm, and the aircraft aligned perfectly with the runway centreline. Weather at landing remained 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 269°, a cross-wind of 1 kt and a head-wind of 2 kt.
Rollout performance showed a total landing distance of 511 m, representing 21 % of the runway, and the aircraft maintained perfect alignment throughout the rollout.
In summary, the flight covered a total distance of 8nm, taking 5, and used 3 kg of fuel.
The final approach to runway 36 at EDFB Reichelsheim Airfield was conducted with a descent from 454 ft agl to 30 ft agl in 45 seconds and was scored on the stabilisation gates. Local weather was 20 °C with wind 2 kt from 083°, a 2 kt cross-wind component and no head-wind.
At threshold the height was good and the threshold speed was slightly below target at 72 kt.
Touchdown occurred 281 m down the runway at a speed of 61 kt, with a vertical rate of minus 57 fpm and a lateral deviation of 5.3 m from the centreline.
The rollout covered a total distance of 710 m, representing 55 % of the 1 293 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was very good.
Fine-tune the approach speed to meet the target value and make small adjustments to maintain centreline alignment within a tighter tolerance; the overall performance was strong with a score of 87.2 %.
