MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 7,295 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,259 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Great job on achieving a landing score of 96.1%! Your overall performance was commendable, with key strengths identified in each phase of the landing process.
During the Approach Phase, it's important to work on maintaining a descent path within the glideslope limit to ensure a smooth and efficient descent towards the runway. By focusing on this aspect, you can further improve your overall approach and set yourself up for success in subsequent phases.
In the Landing Phase, your performance was excellent with a good threshold height and a great landing flare. These are critical components of a successful landing, and your ability to execute them effectively is truly impressive. Keep up the good work in this area as it clearly paid off in your overall score.
Moving on to the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was smooth and your speed was on target, indicating a strong understanding of how to control the aircraft during this critical phase of the landing process. Additionally, touching down within the touchdown zone and in a very good runway touchdown position demonstrates your proficiency in executing a precise landing.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, maintaining runway alignment is key for a safe and efficient rollout. While being 13 ft from the centerline is a minor deviation, it's an area where you can focus on improving to ensure a more precise landing in the future.
Overall, your performance was outstanding, and with continued practice and attention to the areas identified, you have the potential to further enhance your skills and achieve even higher scores in future landings. Keep up the great work and strive for excellence in every phase of your aircraft landings. You're on the right track to becoming a skilled and proficient pilot.
