Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,673 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,673 m of the 2,402 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 646 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a quick taxiing process from the parking area to the runway, taking less than 1 minute and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, an Airbus A320, then departed from runway 24 at EDJA Memmingen Allgau Airport, with a takeoff distance of 707 meters, which accounted for 29% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 131 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 17°C temperature and a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°. The crosswind and headwind were both 1 knot, resulting in a relatively calm environment. The enroute climb started overhead Memmingerberg, Bavaria, Germany, where the aircraft ascended from 3,097 feet above sea level to 9,938 feet, an increase of 6,841 feet in just 4 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, lasting 2 minutes and covering another 11 nautical miles, 1 mile west of Altusried, Bavaria, Germany. The enroute descent then began 1 mile northeast of Guenzach, Bavaria, Germany, where the aircraft descended from 9,642 feet to 4,063 feet, a decrease of 5,579 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The aircraft then underwent another climb phase, this time from 4,061 feet to 5,400 feet, an increase of 1,339 feet in 2 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles, 1 mile southeast of Stetten, Bavaria, Germany. The final descent phase started overhead Westerheim, Bavaria, Germany, where the aircraft descended from 5,384 feet to 3,354 feet, a decrease of 2,029 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 24 at EDJA Memmingen Allgau Airport was made from the northeast, heading 239.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,259 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown point 233 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 128 knots, which was a little fast, but the touchdown rate was fair at -230 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The total landing distance was 1,595 meters, accounting for 66% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. After landing, the aircraft took 9 minutes to taxi to the parking area, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 48 nautical miles, taking 22 minutes, and the aircraft used 742 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at EDJA Memmingen Allgau Airport, achieving a score of 92.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 239.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,259 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed on runway 24, which has a length of 2,402 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was above the target speed of 141 knots, which may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to maintain a higher speed for a smoother touchdown. The touchdown point was 233 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation.
The touchdown speed of 128 knots was slightly faster than the target speed, which may have resulted in a slightly longer landing distance. The touchdown rate of -230 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, indicating that the aircraft's descent was not excessively steep. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and attention to detail.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 17°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 1 knot, which had a minimal impact on the landing. The total landing distance was 1,595 meters, which is 66% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was well-controlled throughout the descent and touchdown.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the post-landing phase. Overall, the landing was executed with precision and skill, and the aircraft was brought to a safe stop within a short distance of the runway.
