Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,726 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,726 m of the 2,477 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 549 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at LEIB Ibiza Airport, a process that took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. Departure roll took place on runway 24, with the aircraft taking off after covering 52% of the runway's length. The takeoff distance was 1,450 meters, and the liftoff speed was 163 knots.
As the aircraft climbed into the air, it encountered local weather conditions of 17°C temperature and a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°. The crosswind was negligible, and the headwind was 1 knot. The enroute climb started 1 mile southwest of LEIB Ibiza Airport and continued for 17 minutes, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,025 feet above sea level to 31,817 feet above sea level, covering a distance of 95 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 25 miles southeast of LEDT Deltebre Airport. This phase lasted for 69 minutes and covered a distance of 525 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting overhead Neuville-Bosc, France, and descending from 31,625 feet above sea level to 18,014 feet above sea level in 9 minutes, covering a distance of 58 nautical miles.
The aircraft entered another level cruise phase, this time starting overhead Bouchavesnes-Bergen, France, and lasting for 7 minutes, during which it covered a distance of 43 nautical miles. The descent phase resumed, starting 1 mile north of Steenwerck, France, and continuing for 7 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 17,496 feet above sea level to 1,739 feet above sea level, covering a distance of 27 nautical miles.
The aircraft entered its final level cruise phase, starting 2 miles north of Koksijde, Belgium, and lasting for 2 minutes, during which it covered a distance of 6 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 08 at EBOS Oostende-Brugge International Airport took place from the west, with the aircraft heading 76.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,262 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 08 was successful, with the aircraft touching down 135 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was a little fast at 131 knots, but the touchdown rate was good at -161 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the local weather conditions were 15°C temperature and a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°.
The total landing distance was 1,647 meters, which accounted for 67% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway in 3 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 761 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 121 minutes, during which the aircraft used 5,535 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at EBOS Oostende-Brugge International Airport, achieving a high score of 98.3%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 76.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,262 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 08, which has a length of 2,477 meters.
The threshold height at 55 feet agl was slightly above the target, but the threshold speed was well within the acceptable range at 139 knots. The touchdown point was 135 meters beyond the touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal landing spot. However, the touchdown speed of 131 knots was a bit faster than desired, and the touchdown rate of -161 feet per minute (fpm) was slightly higher than the optimal rate.
Despite these minor deviations, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the landing. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a gentle wind of 1 knot at 270°. The crosswind was negligible, and the tailwind was minimal at 1 knot.
The total landing distance of 1,647 meters was 67% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was excellent, indicating that the pilot maintained control and stability during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot's performance was commendable, despite a few minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters.
