Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,977 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 703 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 29 at UIAA Chita-Kadala International Airport. The takeoff distance was 689 meters, which was 25% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 118 knots, and the local weather conditions were quite cold, with a temperature of -32°C and a wind speed of 2 knots at 310°.
As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile west of the airport. The climb was from an altitude of 3,314 feet above sea level to 25,477 feet above sea level, an increase of 22,163 feet in just 8 minutes, covering a distance of 42 nautical miles. The climb was a significant portion of the flight, and it was completed in a relatively short period of time.
After the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 21 miles north of Mogzon, Transbaikal Territory, Russia. This phase of the flight lasted for 16 minutes and covered a distance of 113 nautical miles. The cruise phase was a period of steady flight, where the aircraft maintained a constant altitude and airspeed.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, which started 28 miles west of Khorinsk, Respublika Buryatiya, Russia. The descent was from an altitude of 25,764 feet above sea level to 2,959 feet above sea level, a decrease of 22,805 feet in 19 minutes, covering a distance of 65 nautical miles. The descent was a critical phase of the flight, requiring careful control to ensure a safe and controlled landing.
The final approach to runway 08 at UIUU Baikal International Airport was made from the west, heading 78.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,277 feet above ground level. The landing was made on a runway with a length of 2,977 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was slightly below the target speed at 101 knots.
The touchdown point was 270 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 90 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was excellent at -74 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were cold, with a temperature of -27°C and a wind speed of 0 knots at 93°.
The total landing distance was 1,423 meters, which was 48% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
Overall, the flight was a complex and challenging one, requiring careful planning and execution to ensure a safe and successful landing. The aircraft performed well, and the crew's skills and experience were evident throughout the flight. The total flight distance was 231 nautical miles, and the flight took 54 minutes to complete, using 650 kilograms of fuel.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation aircraft successfully landed at UIUU Baikal International Airport, achieving a score of 89.4%. The final approach was conducted from the west, heading 78.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,277 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 08, which has a length of 2,977 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, but the threshold speed was slightly below the target at 101 knots. The touchdown point was 270 meters beyond the touchdown zone, indicating that the aircraft landed slightly short of the intended location. However, the touchdown speed of 90 knots was considered good, and the touchdown rate of -74 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, demonstrating a smooth and controlled descent.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. The local weather conditions were cold, with a temperature of -27°C, but the wind was negligible, with a speed of 0 knots at 93°. There was no crosswind or headwind to affect the landing.
The total landing distance was 1,423 meters, which is 48% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop quickly. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled path during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a good touchdown speed and rate, and a short landing distance. However, the slightly misaligned touchdown position and short touchdown zone may indicate areas for improvement in future landings.
