MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,732 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,732 m of the 2,490 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 415 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 03 at ULWC Cherepovets, with a takeoff distance of 1,506 meters, which was 60% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 156 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 26°C and a wind speed of 6 knots at 130°.
As the aircraft climbed, it started enroute climb 1 mile north east of ULWC Cherepovets, reaching an altitude of 35,353 feet above sea level, an increase of 33,939 feet from the initial altitude of 1,414 feet. This climb took 19 minutes and covered 121 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then started 26 miles south west of Verkhovazh'ye, lasting 22 minutes and covering 159 nautical miles.
The enroute descent began 2 miles south west of Kotlas, with the aircraft descending from 35,548 feet to 2,230 feet, a decrease of 33,318 feet in 21 minutes and covering 118 nautical miles. Another brief enroute level cruise started 6 miles south east of USYY Syktyvkar Southwest Syktyvkar, lasting 3 minutes and covering 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 36 at UUYY Syktyvkar Airport was made from the south, with a heading of 22.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,276 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown speed of 115 knots and a touchdown distance of 417 meters. The touchdown rate was hard at -427 feet per minute, but the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.9 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 20°C. The total landing distance was 1,648 meters, which was 66% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 412 nautical miles, taking 76 minutes, and the aircraft used 2,284 kilograms of fuel.
The CRJ900 aircraft successfully landed at UUYY Syktyvkar Airport, achieving a score of 96.2%. The final approach was conducted from the south, heading 22.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,276 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 36, which has a length of 2,490 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 128 knots, which may have been due to various factors such as air density, aircraft weight, or pilot input. Despite this, the touchdown distance was good at 417 meters, and the touchdown speed of 115 knots was also within acceptable limits.
However, the touchdown rate was reported as hard at -427 feet per minute (fpm), which may indicate that the aircraft touched down with a higher than desired rate of descent. This could be due to a variety of factors, including pilot error, aircraft performance, or weather conditions. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.9 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's approach path.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were reported as a temperature of 20°C, which is relatively mild. The total landing distance was 1,648 meters, which is 66% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down and stop within a reasonable distance.
The runway rollout alignment was reported as very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a straight and stable path after touchdown. Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor issues with the touchdown rate and runway alignment.
