Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,776 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,776 m of the 3,287 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 407 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A321, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Nuremberg Airport (EDDN). This process took approximately 9 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 28, with the aircraft taking off after covering 46% of the runway's length. The takeoff distance was 1,229 meters, and the liftoff speed was 144 knots.
As the aircraft climbed into the air, it encountered local weather conditions of 16°C temperature and a wind speed of 3 knots at 9°. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the headwind was 0 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile west of Nuremberg Airport and continued for 22 minutes, covering a distance of 128 nautical miles. During this time, the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 2,032 feet above sea level to 35,547 feet above sea level, an increase of 33,515 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which began 1 mile south-west of Stangerode, Germany. This phase lasted for 42 minutes and covered a distance of 288 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 14 miles north-west of Moelle, Sweden, and descended from an altitude of 35,649 feet above sea level to 1,788 feet above sea level in 19 minutes, covering a distance of 79 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 21 at Göteborg Landvetter Airport (ESGG) was made from the north-east, with the aircraft heading 206.0° at an altitude of 1,289 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing took place on runway 21, which had a length of 3,287 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 139 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 406 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 139 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -261 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.1 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at Göteborg Landvetter Airport were 10°C temperature and a wind speed of 13 knots at 260°. The crosswind was 10 knots, while the headwind was 7 knots. The total landing distance was 1,692 meters, which was 51% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.0 meters from the centreline. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took approximately 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight covered a distance of 503 nautical miles and took 97 minutes to complete. The aircraft used 4,436 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 aircraft successfully landed at ESGG Göteborg Landvetter Airport, achieving a score of 96.8%. The final approach to runway 21 was initiated from the north east, heading 206.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,289 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway, which has a length of 3,287 meters. The threshold height was reported as good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 139 knots. This indicates that the pilot may have been slightly aggressive in their approach, but it did not significantly impact the overall performance of the landing.
The touchdown distance was good at 406 meters, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the touchdown speed of 139 knots was a little fast, which may have contributed to a slightly higher touchdown rate of -261 feet per minute. This is considered fair, but it could be improved upon in future landings.
One notable issue with the landing was the runway touchdown position, which was misaligned by 8.1 meters from the centerline. This is a relatively minor issue, but it does indicate that the pilot may need to work on their alignment during the final stages of the approach.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 10°C and a wind speed of 13 knots from 260°. The crosswind component was 10 knots, while the headwind component was 7 knots. These conditions were not particularly challenging, and the aircraft performed well in them.
The total landing distance was 1,692 meters, which is 51% of the runway length. This is a reasonable distance, considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.0 meters from the centerline, which is similar to the issue with the touchdown position.
Overall, the Airbus A321 aircraft performed well during the landing at ESGG Göteborg Landvetter Airport, achieving a score of 96.8%. While there were some minor issues with alignment and touchdown speed, the aircraft's performance was generally good, and it handled the local weather conditions well.
