Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,882 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 373 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 04 at LFOH Le Havre-Octeville Airport. The Bonanza G36 aircraft took off with a takeoff distance of 267 meters, which accounted for 12% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 92 knots. At the time of departure, the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 16 knots from 360 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 12 knots.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead LFOH Le Havre-Octeville Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 709 feet above sea level to 14,076 feet above sea level, an increase of 13,366 feet in just 21 minutes. During this time, the aircraft covered a distance of 64 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started overhead Saint-Remy-sur-Avre, where the aircraft maintained a steady altitude for 12 minutes, covering 38 nautical miles.
The enroute descent began overhead Breuillet, where the aircraft started its descent from 14,062 feet above sea level to 1,727 feet above sea level, a decrease of 12,334 feet in 14 minutes. The descent covered a distance of 29 nautical miles. The aircraft then leveled off again overhead La Chapelle-Gauthier, where it maintained a steady altitude for 5 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 28 at LFPM Melun-Villaroche Airfield was made from the east, heading 284.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,242 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 28, which had a length of 1,882 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 87 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 373 meters, and the touchdown speed was 71 knots, which was also good. The touchdown rate was smooth at -150 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.4 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 3 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 5 knots from 320 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 771 meters, which accounted for 41% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.0 meters from the centerline. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 142 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 62 minutes. The aircraft used 37 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Bonanza G36 aircraft successfully landed at LFPM Melun-Villaroche Airfield, achieving a score of 97.1%. The final approach to runway 28 was conducted from the east, with a heading of 284.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,242 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft landed on the 1,882-meter runway, which provided a good threshold height.
The threshold speed was above the target speed, reaching 87 knots, indicating a controlled approach. The touchdown distance was also satisfactory, measuring 373 meters. The touchdown speed of 71 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate was smooth at -150 feet per minute (fpm). However, there was a slight deviation in the runway touchdown position, with the aircraft being 8.4 meters off-centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 3°C, with a wind speed of 5 knots from 320°. The crosswind component was minimal at 3 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. The total landing distance was 771 meters, which accounted for 41% of the runway length. During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was slightly off-centerline by 8.0 meters.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and a smooth touchdown. However, there were some minor deviations in terms of touchdown position and rollout alignment, which could be addressed in future training sessions to further improve the pilot's skills.
