Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,483 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 457 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 15 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, then departed from runway 28 at EDDN Nuremberg Airport. The takeoff distance was 81 meters, which is 3% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 159 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 10 knots from a direction of 330 degrees. The crosswind component was 8 knots, while the headwind component was 6 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile west of EDDN Nuremberg Airport and ascended from an initial altitude of 2,027 feet above sea level to a maximum altitude of 34,311 feet above sea level. This climb phase lasted for 21 minutes and covered a distance of 131 nautical miles.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started overhead Doksany in the Czech Republic. This phase lasted for 5 minutes and covered a distance of 43 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 1 mile north of Oldrichov v Hajich in the Czech Republic. The descent phase lasted for 23 minutes and covered a distance of 115 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from a maximum altitude of 34,341 feet above sea level to a final altitude of 1,579 feet above sea level.
The final approach to runway 28 at EPPO Poznań-Ławica Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 287.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 10 knots from a direction of 330 degrees. The crosswind component was 7 knots, while the headwind component was 7 knots.
The landing was made on runway 28, which has a length of 2,483 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 141 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 460 meters, but the touchdown speed of 135 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -238 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 4.4 meters.
The total landing distance was 1,388 meters, which is 56% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 298 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 64 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 2,879 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 successfully landed at EPPO Poznań-Ławica Airport, achieving a high score of 98.7%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 287.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,271 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 28, which has a length of 2,483 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 141 knots, which may have been due to various factors such as wind resistance or the aircraft's weight. Despite this, the touchdown distance was good, measuring 460 meters, which is within the acceptable range.
The touchdown speed of 135 knots was a little fast, which may have resulted in a slightly higher touchdown rate of -238 feet per minute (fpm). This is considered fair, but it could be improved upon in future landings. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.4 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's trajectory.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 14°C and a wind speed of 10 knots from 330°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 7 knots, which is relatively light and should not have significantly impacted the landing. The total landing distance was 1,388 meters, which is 56% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop safely within a reasonable distance.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain its direction and speed after touchdown, and was able to come to a stop without any issues. Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to touch down safely and come to a stop within a reasonable distance.
