Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 9,995 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,759 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Punta Cana International Airport, the Boeing 737-MAX8 began its journey with a taxiing period of 5 minutes, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile to reach the runway. At 09, the aircraft took off, utilizing 5,810 feet of the 10,000-foot runway, which accounted for 58% of its length. The liftoff speed of 161 knots was achieved, and the aircraft began its initial climb.
As the aircraft transitioned into the enroute climb phase, it ascended from 1,013 feet above sea level to 34,000 feet, a vertical increase of 32,987 feet, covering a distance of 113 nautical miles in 18 minutes. The climb was followed by a brief level cruise phase, lasting 2 minutes, as the aircraft flew at a steady altitude of 34,000 feet, covering 12 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another climb phase, reaching a maximum altitude of 35,513 feet, before transitioning into a prolonged level cruise phase, lasting 74 minutes, during which it covered a distance of 552 nautical miles. The aircraft continued to climb and cruise, with a final climb phase reaching an altitude of 37,996 feet, before beginning its descent into Orlando Sanford International Airport.
The descent phase began 15 miles east of Miami Beach, with the aircraft descending from 37,998 feet to 9,723 feet, a vertical decrease of 28,275 feet, covering a distance of 163 nautical miles in 27 minutes. The aircraft then entered a brief level cruise phase, before beginning its final descent, which ended with a smooth touchdown on runway 09L at Orlando Sanford International Airport. The total landing distance was 4,053 feet, accounting for 41% of the runway length. The aircraft taxied to the parking area, concluding its journey, which covered a total distance of 1,002 nautical miles, utilizing 12,220 pounds of fuel and taking a total of 158 minutes.
The Boeing 737-MAX8 touched down on runway 09L at KSFB Orlando Sanford International Airport, showcasing a high level of proficiency in the landing phase. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 90.0° at 4 nm and 1,180 ft above ground level, with a good approach quality that set the stage for a smooth touchdown. The threshold height was well-managed, and the threshold speed of 145 kt was achieved, indicating a well-executed flare.
As the aircraft made contact with the runway, it touched down 399 ft beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 138 kt, which was within the acceptable range. The touchdown rate of -133 fpm was smooth, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 77 °F and a 7 kt headwind, did not pose any significant challenges to the landing.
The total landing distance of 4,053 ft, which accounted for 41% of the runway length, was within the acceptable range. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was scored 98.9%, reflecting the high level of proficiency demonstrated by the pilot.
