Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 5,927 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,039 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving a fantastic aircraft landing score of 98.7%! Your performance in various phases of the landing process is commendable, and with some minor adjustments, you can further improve your score in the future.
During the Approach Phase, while the descent path was slightly above the glideslope limit and speed was a tad higher than the target, it's essential to focus on maintaining precise descent and speed control to ensure a smoother transition into the Landing Phase.
In the Landing Phase, although the threshold height was slightly above the target, your excellent landing flare demonstrates a good understanding of the aircraft's handling characteristics. Fine-tuning your approach to achieve the desired threshold height will help enhance your overall landing efficiency.
Moving on to the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was good, and the speed was on target, indicating a high level of control during this critical phase. Ensuring consistent touchdown distances inside the touchdown zone and maintaining runway touchdown position close to the centerline will contribute to a more precise and stable landing.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was very good, showcasing your ability to maintain proper alignment during the landing rollout. Continuing to focus on runway tracking and alignment will ensure a smooth exit from the runway and enhance overall landing performance.
Overall, your dedication to improving various aspects of the landing process is evident in your high landing score. With continued practice and attention to detail, you can further refine your skills and achieve even higher scores in the future. Keep up the excellent work, and never stop striving for excellence in your aircraft operations. Well done!
