MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 7,201 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 2,666 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Vision Jet began with a quick taxi from the parking area to the runway at YBRM Broome International Airport, covering less than 1 nm in just 5 minutes. The departure roll on runway 28 required 2,268 ft and 31% of the runway length, with a liftoff speed of 104 kn. The local weather at the time of departure was hot, with a temperature of 96 °F and a strong wind of 18 kn at 300 °, resulting in a crosswind of 5 kn and a headwind of 18 kn.
The enroute climb started over Cable Beach in the State of Western Australia, Australia. The climb took the aircraft from 1,076 ft asl to 31,315 ft asl, covering a total of 30,239 ft in altitude gain over 24 minutes and 92 nm. The level cruise portion of the flight began 18 miles west of YAPA Anna Plains Airport in Broome and lasted 35 minutes, covering a distance of 194 nm.
The descent phase of the flight commenced 11 miles south of YWDC Wodgina Airport in Port Hedland, descending from 30,737 ft asl to 3,798 ft asl, a decrease of 26,939 ft over 22 minutes and 103 nm. The aircraft then made its final approach to runway 26 at YBGD Boolgeeda from the east, at 2 nm and 1,874 ft agl, with a heading of 268.0 °.
The landing on runway 26 at YBGD Boolgeeda required a runway length of 7,201 ft. The threshold height at 65 ft agl was slightly above target, but the touchdown speed of 71 kn was good. The touchdown point was 1,069 ft beyond the designated zone, with a fair touchdown rate of -279 ft/m. The local weather at the time of landing was still hot, with a temperature of 94 °F and a 13 kn wind at 43 °, resulting in a crosswind of 9 kn and a tailwind of 10 kn.
The total landing distance was 3,495 ft, which was 49% of the total runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. After landing, the aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in just 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 394 nm, lasting 91 minutes and consuming 620 lbs of fuel.
