Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,041 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,041 m of the 3,527 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 441 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 15 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 14L at LEMD Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,767 meters, which accounted for 59% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 164 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 13 °C, with a wind speed of 10 knots at 149°.
As the aircraft climbed out of the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile east of LEMD Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport. The climb took 17 minutes and covered a distance of 103 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 2,981 feet above sea level to 32,882 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,901 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 10 miles north of Quintanar de la Sierra in Castilla y Leon, Spain. This phase lasted for 74 minutes and covered a distance of 567 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 1 mile northwest of Villeneuve-d'Ascq in Hauts-de-France, France. The descent took 28 minutes and covered a distance of 123 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 32,519 feet above sea level to 1,269 feet above sea level, a decrease of 31,250 feet.
The final approach to runway 18R at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was made from the north, with a heading of 183.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,268 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 18R, which had a length of 3,527 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 149 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 443 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 149 knots. The touchdown rate was firm at -392 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.4 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 10 °C, with a wind speed of 7 knots at 120°. The crosswind was 7 knots, and the headwind was 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,969 meters, which accounted for 56% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 15.0 meters from the centerline. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 14 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles.
In total, the flight distance was 805 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 149 minutes. The aircraft used 5,332 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, achieving a score of 92.1%. The final approach to runway 18R was initiated from the north, with the aircraft heading 183.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,268 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 149 knots, which was slightly above the target threshold speed. The touchdown distance of 443 meters was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. However, the touchdown speed was a little fast, which may have contributed to a firm touchdown rate of -392 feet per minute (fpm).
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 7.4 meters, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 10°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 120°. The crosswind component was 7 knots, while the headwind component was 3 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,969 meters was 56% of the available runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned from the centreline by 15.0 meters, which may have been due to factors such as pilot error or aircraft performance.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with a high score of 92.1%. However, there were some minor issues with the touchdown speed and runway alignment, which may be addressed in future training or aircraft performance evaluations.
