MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,564 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 488 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A319 taxied from its parking position to runway 19R at KTPA Tampa International Airport in 5 minutes, covering 2 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 19R, the aircraft accelerated over a distance of 1,614 m, representing 48 % of the runway, and lifted off at 166 kt; ambient temperature was 33 °C with wind 6 kt from 220°, a 4 kt cross-wind component and a 5 kt head-wind component.
The climb began overhead KTPA, climbing from 1,010 ft asl to 22,992 ft asl-a gain of 21,982 ft-in 9 minutes while traversing 51 nm.
Level cruise commenced 6 miles north of Warm Mineral Springs, lasting 9 minutes and covering 61 nm.
Descent started over Naples Park, descending from 22,516 ft asl to 1,307 ft asl, a loss of 21,209 ft in 17 minutes and spanning 84 nm.
The final approach to runway 09 at KMIA Miami International Airport was flown from the west on a heading of 87.0°, at 4 nm and 1,288 ft agl.
Landing on runway 09 was achieved with a threshold speed of 129 kt; touchdown occurred 57 m beyond the touchdown zone at 121 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 168 fpm and perfect runway alignment. Local conditions were 33 °C, wind 10 kt from 120°, a 6 kt cross-wind and a 9 kt head-wind. The total landing roll measured 1,005 m, or 28 % of the runway, and rollout alignment was very good.
After touchdown, the aircraft rolled out and decelerated along the runway before taxiing to the parking area, a movement that took 4 minutes and covered 2 nm.
In total, the flight covered 205 nm, required 47 minutes of airborne time, and consumed 1,838 kg of fuel.
The Airbus A319 entered the final approach to runway 09 at KMIA from the west on a heading of 87.0 ° while 4 nm out and 1,288 ft above ground level.
At threshold the aircraft maintained a good height and a threshold speed that was good at 129 kt.
Touchdown occurred 57 m beyond the touchdown zone with a speed of 121 kt that was a little fast; the vertical rate was good at minus 168 fpm and runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
Rollout continued with a very good runway alignment and the aircraft used a total landing distance of 1,005 m, representing 28 % of the 3,555 m runway.
Maintain the excellent overall technique reflected by the 99.8 % score, but aim to reduce touchdown speed slightly and achieve a touchdown point closer to the designated zone to further optimise landing performance.
