Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,560 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 61 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, a CRJ900, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KITH Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport. This process took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 32, with the aircraft lifting off at a speed of 152 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 220 degrees, and no crosswind or headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead KITH Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 2,094 feet above sea level to 19,148 feet above sea level, an increase of 17,054 feet, in just 7 minutes and covering a distance of 27 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began 3 miles east of Whitney Point, New York, and lasted for 16 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 114 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 2 miles southwest of Sherman, Connecticut, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 18,617 feet above sea level to 18,072 feet above sea level, a decrease of 545 feet, in just 2 minutes and covering a distance of 12 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began again, this time overhead Heritage Village, Connecticut, and lasted for 7 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 47 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 1 mile northeast of Rose Field Orient, New York, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 18,009 feet above sea level to 12,043 feet above sea level, a decrease of 5,967 feet, in 7 minutes and covering a distance of 27 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began again, this time overhead Baiting Hollow, New York, and lasted for 7 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 31 nautical miles.
The final enroute descent started overhead Lindenhurst, New York, and took the aircraft from an altitude of 11,937 feet above sea level to 1,259 feet above sea level, a decrease of 10,678 feet, in 7 minutes and covering a distance of 16 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 22L at KJFK John F Kennedy International Airport, flying from the northeast and heading 210.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,209 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The landing took place on runway 22L, which had a length of 2,560 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed at 117 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 57 meters, and the touchdown speed was also good at 116 knots. However, the touchdown rate was very hard at -536 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.1 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 209 degrees, and a headwind of 11 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 8 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 282 nautical miles, and the flight took a total of 66 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 1,647 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The CRJ900 aircraft successfully landed on runway 22L at KJFK John F Kennedy International Airport, achieving a score of 94.0%. The final approach was initiated from the north east, heading 210.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,209 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 116 kt, which was slightly below the target threshold speed of 117 kt. However, the touchdown distance of 57 meters was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown rate of -536 fpm was quite high, suggesting a steeper-than-ideal descent angle, but this did not appear to have any significant impact on the overall landing performance.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 8.1 meters, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. However, the runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain its direction and speed after touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 22°C and a headwind of 11 kt. The wind direction was from 209°, which was relatively close to the aircraft's heading, minimizing the impact of crosswind. The total landing distance of 889 meters was 35% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft touching down smoothly and maintaining its alignment after touchdown. However, the high touchdown rate and slight misalignment from the centerline may indicate areas for improvement in the pilot's technique or the aircraft's performance.
