MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,510 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,510 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 312 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
While your aircraft landing score of 84.6% is above average, there are still areas for improvement that can lead to a smoother and safer landing in the future.
Firstly, during the Approach Phase, your descent path was above the glideslope limit and your speed was slightly below target. To improve this, focus on maintaining a steady descent path and ensuring your speed remains at the optimal level for a smoother approach.
In the Landing Phase, your threshold height was above target, but you executed a very good landing flare. However, your landing heading and bank angle stability during the landing were poor. Work on maintaining a straight heading and stable bank angle to improve your landing accuracy.
During the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was hard, but your speed was on target. However, you landed with a 5 kn tailwind, which is a safety concern. Pay close attention to wind conditions and adjust your approach accordingly to ensure a safe landing.
Despite the hard touchdown rate, your touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and runway touchdown position were very good. Focus on improving your touchdown technique to achieve a smoother landing in the future.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was 14.9 m from the centerline. Pay attention to your alignment during the rollout phase to ensure a straight and accurate landing on the runway.
Overall, with some adjustments and practice, you can improve your landing technique and achieve even higher scores in the future. Keep up the good work and continue working on refining your skills for safer and smoother landings.
