MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,432 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 557 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight departed from Calgary International Airport, where it began its journey on runway 17L. Taxiing from the parking area to the runway took approximately 8 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. As the aircraft lifted off, it accelerated to a liftoff speed of 161 knots, utilizing 45% of the 1,909-meter runway. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 1°C, with a 6-knot wind blowing from a direction of 160°.
As the aircraft climbed to its initial cruising altitude, it ascended from 4,363 feet above sea level to 37,028 feet, an increase of 32,665 feet in just 13 minutes. The enroute climb phase was followed by a level cruise, which lasted 11 minutes and covered a distance of 274 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb phase, this time from 36,329 feet to 36,993 feet, an increase of 664 feet in just 2 minutes. The flight continued with multiple level cruise phases, each lasting several minutes and covering significant distances. The aircraft then began its descent, reducing its altitude from 36,790 feet to 5,011 feet in 13 minutes. The final approach to runway 30R at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport was executed from the south east, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 131 knots and a distance of 129 meters beyond the touchdown zone.
The landing distance of 1,257 meters was 52% of the 2,432-meter runway, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The total flight distance was 960 nautical miles, taking approximately 68 minutes to complete, and the aircraft used 5,124 kilograms of fuel during the journey. Taxiing from the runway to the parking area took just 2 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The local weather conditions at the time of landing featured a temperature of -11°C, with a 24-knot wind blowing from a direction of 330°.
The final approach to runway 30R at KMSP Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport from the south east, heading 302.0° at 4 nm and 1,481 ft agl, was executed with a high degree of precision. The approach quality was excellent, with the aircraft maintaining a stable and controlled descent throughout the entire approach phase. The threshold height at 59 ft agl was slightly above the target, but the crew's skillful management of the aircraft's altitude ensured a smooth transition to the landing phase.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, the touchdown point was 129 m beyond the touchdown zone, indicating a slight over-run. The touchdown speed of 131 kt was a little fast, but the crew's ability to maintain control of the aircraft's descent rate ensured a good touchdown rate of -154 fpm. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of -11 °C and a wind of 24 kt at 330°, presented a challenging environment for the landing, but the crew's expertise and the aircraft's capabilities ensured a safe and controlled touchdown.
The rollout phase was executed with precision, with the aircraft maintaining a very good alignment with the runway centerline. The total landing distance of 1,257 m, which accounted for 52% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. Overall, the landing was executed with a high degree of skill and precision, resulting in a score of 96.3%. The crew's ability to manage the aircraft's altitude, speed, and descent rate ensured a safe and controlled touchdown, and their expertise in handling the aircraft in challenging weather conditions was evident throughout the approach and landing phases.
