Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 5,124 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 2,038 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Overall, it sounds like there were some areas for improvement in various phases of the landing. However, it's important to remember that everyone has good and bad landings, and it's all part of the learning process.
What went well: The touchdown rate was fair and the runway alignment during the rollout phase was fair as well.
What didn't go so well: There were issues with the descent path above the glideslope limit, poor heading alignment, and excess speed during the Approach Phase. The threshold height was excessively high and there was a very poor landing flare during the Landing Phase. The touchdown speed was well above target and the distance was long during the Touchdown Phase.
Recommendations for improvement: 1. Work on maintaining a proper descent profile and speed control during the Approach Phase to ensure a smoother transition to the Landing Phase. 2. Focus on maintaining proper alignment and height above the runway threshold during the Landing Phase to improve the landing flare and touchdown. 3. Practice controlling speed and distance during the Touchdown Phase to achieve better target speeds and distances on the runway. 4. Continue to work on runway alignment during the Rollout Phase to ensure a complete and safe landing.
Remember, every landing is a chance to learn and improve. Keep practicing and seeking feedback to continue honing your skills as a pilot. Good luck!
