MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Improve the touchdown
There are several things that can go wrong during the flare, carrying too much speed over the threshold, starting the flare at the wrong height and inconsistent flight control inputs, all contribute to a poor flare resulting in a hard touchdown or a float down the runway.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 10,785 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 767 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737-800 taxied from the parking area to runway 24R at LEBL Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. The taxi-out phase lasted 28 minutes and covered 4 nm.
The aircraft commenced its departure roll on runway 24R. Takeoff was achieved after a ground roll of 4,655 ft, representing 41 % of the runway, with a liftoff speed of 166 kt. Ambient conditions were temperature 39 °F, wind 8 kt at 280 °, a 5 kt crosswind and a 7 kt headwind.
Climb began overhead LEBL, climbing from 942 ft asl to 33,727 ft asl, an increase of 32,785 ft in 20 minutes while covering 134 nm.
The first cruise segment started 59 miles north of Ferreries and continued for 107 minutes, during which the aircraft covered 829 nm.
Descent commenced 3 miles south
The Boeing 737-800 approached runway 09 at LBSF Sofia Airport in a stabilised configuration at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope, centreline and speed all within limits, and completed the descent from 1,154 ft AGL to 17 ft AGL in 91 seconds.
During the threshold and flare segment the aircraft maintained a good threshold speed of 140 kt, achieved a touchdown distance of 767 ft, and reduced speed to a good 135 kt at touchdown. The touchdown rate was recorded as fair at minus 273 fpm and the touchdown point was misaligned by 28 ft from the centreline, while the threshold height was reported as good.
At touchdown the aircraft’s speed of 135 kt and descent rate of minus 273 fpm produced a total landing distance of 3,886 ft, representing 36 % of the 10,785 ft runway, with the touchdown point still 28 ft off centreline.
During rollout the aircraft travelled the remaining distance with a slight centreline deviation of 27 ft, completing the landing roll within the runway limits.
To refine future performances, attention should be given to tightening centreline alignment during flare and rollout, and to moderating the touchdown sink rate toward a gentler value while preserving the current speed and distance margins.
