MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 4,065 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 900 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was operated by a Boeing 777F aircraft. The aircraft began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 4 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 25R at Los Angeles International Airport (KLAX), with the aircraft lifting off at a speed of 188 knots after covering a takeoff distance of 2,015 meters, which was 60% of the runway length.
The initial climb phase started over KLAX, with the aircraft ascending from 1,169 feet above sea level to 28,984 feet, a vertical increase of 27,815 feet, in 15 minutes and covering a distance of 91 nautical miles. The climb phase was followed by a brief level cruise, which lasted 2 minutes and covered 11 nautical miles, starting 1 mile southwest of Bakersfield, California.
The aircraft then began another climb phase, this time from 29,002 feet to 31,050 feet, an increase of 2,048 feet, in 3 minutes and covering 30 nautical miles, starting 7 miles northeast of Oildale, California. The level cruise phase that followed lasted 178 minutes and covered 1,482 nautical miles, starting 2 miles south of Weldon, California.
The flight continued with several more climb and level cruise phases, with the aircraft ascending to higher altitudes and covering significant distances. Notably, the climb phase from 31,035 feet to 32,928 feet, an increase of 1,892 feet, took place in 2 minutes and covered 13 nautical miles, starting 24 miles west of Utik Lake, Manitoba, Canada.
The final descent phase started 5 miles east of Radnevo, Bulgaria, with the aircraft descending from 35,080 feet to 10,369 feet, a decrease of 24,711 feet, in 16 minutes and covering 95 nautical miles. The flight then continued with several more level cruise and descent phases, with the aircraft eventually beginning its final approach to runway 17L at Istanbul Airport (LTFM).
The final approach was made from the north, with the aircraft heading 181.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,342 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 17L, which was 4,065 meters long, with the threshold height being well above the target and the threshold speed being slightly above the target at 147 knots.
The touchdown point was 447 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with the touchdown speed being 142 knots and the touchdown rate being fair at -205 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.3 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 8.3 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance was 1,302 meters, which was 32% of the runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 9 knots at 210 degrees, with a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 7 knots.
The total flight distance was 6,044 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 711 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 103,830 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777F aircraft successfully landed on runway 17L at LTFM İstanbul Airport, achieving an overall score of 85.0%. The final approach was initiated from the north, heading 181.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,342 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down 447 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a significant deviation. However, the touchdown speed of 142 knots was within the acceptable range, indicating a good control of the aircraft during the landing phase. The touchdown rate of -205 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, suggesting that the aircraft could have been brought down more smoothly.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.3 meters from the centerline, which may have contributed to the deviation from the designated touchdown zone. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, a wind speed of 9 knots at 210°, resulting in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 7 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,302 meters was 32% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. However, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 8.3 meters from the centerline, which may have affected the aircraft's stability during the rollout phase.
Overall, while the landing was successful, there were some deviations from the ideal performance, particularly in terms of touchdown zone alignment and runway rollout alignment. These deviations may be addressed through further training and practice to improve the aircraft's handling and control during landing phases.
